Ford made a pretty good seat.

Glide is great, but pricey. Also Made in the USA. I have had one glide in my life, and prefer that over anything else. They seem to support well, and I've had spine surgery.

I put a Glide in a Brookville '32 Roadster and it's very comfortable, the springs give it good support and does eliminate seat fatigue on long trips. I built a seat for my original Roadster using plywood and closed cell foam. It's ok but not as comfortable as the Glide. Stock springs work well but it's a challenge to lower the seat enough for a 3" chop.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The middle seat from a Dodge minivan is a GREAT coupe/roadster seat. I paid $12 for mine... Best of luck with whatever you choose!!!

I'll be looking for one for my '32 5 window but I really want to use Ford parts. Would the middle seat from one of ford's vans work? I'll use dodge IF I have to.

The Glide seat is awesome! The seat can be lifted up and used for some minor storage, which is really handy if you have a roadster without glove compartement.

If Glide seats are as comfortable as they look they should be about the best you could choose...

Mustang II bucket seats are a maximum of 19" wide at the widest part.

I don't know much about a middle seat from a Ford minivan although I have heard some guys use them. I just know the Dodge seat works well, is comfy AND has a cup holder if you're in to that sort of thing. We put mine on tracks so it can adjust back and forth for different drivers if needed. The Glide seat is very nice but pretty pricey.

Again, best of luck with your decision.

Make one. Seat bottom and back out of plywood, then correct density foam to fit your form.

    Like so.

90's Mazda MPV is a perfect alternative.

IMHO, I like the way that this looks much better than the caravan one. Much thinner in the back, while the caravan and even the MPV one looks unnaturally thick. Can't beat the price on the minivan seats though...

I was told pretty much ANY 90's Dodge minivan seat. I think mine is about a 1996ish... There's no shortage of them in pretty much ANY junkyard

Believe me, I didn't come up with this on my own. I stole the idea from someone else who probably stole it from someone else.

    Well? :D

  23. I was told by a buddy that older Dodge Dakota seats work as well. They are thinner than a mini van.

I love it!!! This thing fits great. So the rest of you know the seat i got has some cool features, the bottom lifts up so you can store stuff under it. The back rest folds forward and is adjustable. Its got these cool aluminum trim pieces to cover up the hinges. Really good quality seat.

Metaltwister is a really cool guy to deal with and makes his seats all by himself here in America.

Well Id like to say I make them all by myself but that wouldn't be right. I do have help you just missed them when you were here. Glad you like it! We really do try hard to please and we have some features that the others just dont offer. Subtle little things that only an Upholsterer could appreciate.

Thanks for the feedback James and great meeting you!

Glide in our 32 3w sure is comfortable. Not sure iF roadster is the same but the adjusters that stick out the ends and the plastic covers are the most UGLY UGLY things, in a old style car they make the whole seat look like it was plucked from a Honda. Glide put no thought at all into hiding these. So you would be on your own like us to make the uglies disappear.
