History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

I got to Meet Barb a few years ago at the York Us30 Reunion. She was a sweet lady who was more than willing to give me her story of her and her gal friends campaigning the car. Must have been quite the site to see a few gals and a gas coupe travelling across the country back then. Even now it would be a cool deal.

 

always had a soft spot for 65 Nova's, well almost any nova,, lol

 

Yeah definately an Aussie.I remember a story where the car stalled & the fire scorched the rear of the car & it looked like a ducks bum

I dug through my photo files and found this shot of Taylor's Fiat subsequent to the fire burnout where the car stalled in the flames. You can see the blackened paint and decals above the rear wheel.

Note the large protruding chute and attached strouds apparently unaffected by the flames.
