  8. Looks great Nick! I have an extra Trac-Loc center I can give you if you like. I'll bring it to Bonneville and hand it to you. ;) I hope you're gonna make it this year. 28 spline

Thanks, Todd! A group of us will be going to Des Moines on Friday afternoon and returning home on Sunday morning. Hopefully I'll finally meet you this year!

I'll be with a black '63-1/2 Galaxie and this Model A Coupe: --- The "A-HOLE"

Heck yeah, I can't wait!! I plan on building a 'hopped up' 302 this winter, but the stock one with the 5-speed and 4.11s should still be a blast to drive!

I really wish I knew what this meant (even searched Google), but I don't :)

That would be awesome, Tim --- thanks a ton for offering it up!! My axles are 28 spline.
Will be interesting to see what the car will do with a Trac-Loc and decent tires. :)

I'll be going to Bonneville no matter what. If for some remote reason the Roadster can't make the trip, I'll drive my late-model. Only 49 days to go!

  10. No problem! I have a couple extra from all the ones I've put spools in. PM me when it gets closer just to remind me, I'm getting old and forgetful.

Will do --- thanks again, Tim!

Going by the cars in your signature, I think we have very similar tastes :)

Cool! My goal is for Salina to be the first road trip in the roadster. You planning on that show, too?

What model Ducati do you have?!
It's one of the best bikes I've ever owned ('07 695 Monster) and I'm about ready to step up to a bigger (engine) one. Have only had Jap bikes before and the Yamaha RD350 was my favorite by far.

Where are the obligatory "vroom-vroom" pictures? Isn't that a requirement when you get the seat installed? :)

The seat looks great Nick!!!! Yea, I'll be at Salina again this year. This time around, I'll have a booth set up selling hot rod art. I'm planning to set up next to Ben Mitchell. Look forward to seeing you there!

    Soon enough!! :)

    See you there, Todd!

It's a Chrysler minivan rear seat that I narrowed 5". The back folds down so I can store a few small things behind it.

Some foam was added (and shaved/contoured) to the corners on the bottom part of the seat to square them off slightly. This was my friends' idea the was sewing the cover up -- patterns were much easier for him to make this way. Foam was also added (and shaved/contoured) in the 'bolster' area for more lower leg support.

I installed the mounts low and tilted back slightly. There is no adjusment at this point, but the mounting holes can be slotted for slight adjustment.
Overall, wanted it to be as comfortable as possible for long trips.

The leather is a 55 s.f. hide I bought off Ebay for about $120. I don't know if there was an actual name for the color. Also don't know how it will wear or weather --- I guess we'll find out! Had just enough leather to do this seat. It's true tuck-n-roll, so there's a little more waste doing it this way.

Low buck tip: yard sale couches or furniture store rejects/pickups can be a great source for leather yardage.
