Found this today. Top is rough but it is really pretty solid aorund the lower sections. I think it is salvageable. Hoping to get it next week it is just a couple of mile down the road on a friends place. Do these doors interchange with coupes?

Looks like the kids over the last 50 years have been jumping on the top but than that it looks like a real saver in my opinion. Don't wait too long on that one. Keep the fenders. I like sedans better with them myself. If you decide to build it without the fenders I need the inner fender splash aprons for sure. Let me know.

Well I spoke too soon on this one. I do not believe that he will sell it. I hope he will change his mind in the future. It has been sitting on the back of his property for 50 plus years.

I would like to get some opinons from the HAMB. What do you think a fair price would be for this car?( No title, lots of damage but not rusted out, has stock frame, pedals.
I would appreciate your thoughts. I realize this is a matter of opinion but I need some comparisons. The owner wants to sell but is unsure on value. thanks

If I were standing there myself I would give 1500 for it or so, I have lots of parts to fix that car with so I could do it, however for the average person to buy it and try and build the car there is going to be a fortune spent on patch panels. I may be way off base but thats my opinion. Jim

I paid $2000 and drove 500 miles 1 way for this body & bare frame, both needing alot of work. What it is worth to 1 person vs another is very subjective or I'm just used to working with stuff that needs a ton of work?

And see here is the age old delima, Kirk is in Michigan (rusty cars) and Tex is in Texas (solid cars) so what one thinks is a good buy, (Kirk) another person from an area that is more accustomed to solid cars (tex) might not think is such a good buy/car. So I guess what I trying to say is if ya like it and you dont mind paying the asking price buy it! LOL, I think I just waisted everyones time here.........and may have lost some brain cells along the way...Jim

I have to agree that us here in the rust belt pay a premium for good/decent metal. I've been to Cali and their junk is our gold. I suppose that if its a challenge I'm more inclined to take it on. Besides if you can turn a turd into a diamond then everything becomes easier

I Got it in the shop this week and started some body work. I know its not much progress. Lots of work to do but I was happy to find this and save it from rotting. This car has sat out in a field for the last 50 years.

Give you a lot of credit, that was one ruffed up carcass.
The driver's side and rear needed serious intervention.
    Looks far better now.
