  4. A little more trivia.... thanks to IMDB.

It has long been stated that the entire cast of Gilligan's Island never received residuals beyond the first four reruns of each episode. This was true for the entire cast except Dawn Wells. When the show was picked up by CBS and Dawn was cast....., she was married to her agent at the time. In her original contract she was to be paid $1200 per week plus the residual contract the 6 other castaways received. Her husband/agent said that should the show become successful Dawn would not benefit from receiving such a limited residual option. Believing the show would flop, the CBS executives humored Dawn and her husband and put a clause in her contract giving her long-term residuals should the show ever syndicate. As a result from that clause Dawn has made literally millions of dollars as the years have gone by from syndication of Gilligan's Island. This was never public knowledge. Dawn and series creator Sherwood Schwartz are the only individuals to profit long-term from the series.

I had someone send me a couple more shots of the Thunderbird Juniors they had racing at Daytona speed week in 1956. I had the one with them lined up to start the race but not the shots on sand and blacktop racing.

Though we tend to think of Norm "Woo-Woo" Grabowski first as a 'rodder
and the father of the trad T-bucket, Normie-Poo also enjoyed quite an exten-
sive career of support roles in B-flicks and TV, mostly geared to teens. In
this 1960 lobby-card image, thanks to 3BTheater, Woo-Woo is momentarily
decked and rendered speechless by the sheer pulchritude of bombshell
Mamie VanDoren. This wacky teen-sploitation flick was apparently gen-
erated during a scriptwriters' strike, though a disparate (sometimes out-
right desperate!:D) cast included the likes of horror stars John Carradine and
Vampira, with a young Martin Milner, Conway Twitty (!) and Jackie Coogan
    tossed into the mix!

The photo with the APACHE HOTEL is on Fremont street in Las Vegas; The Apache became Binnion's HORSESHOE in the early 50's.

  24. long time ago at the age of 17 i always tried to look like Conway for he was my idol.. anybody else?

the girl i'm in love with found out today, that another fellow is her favorite, so today i'm the lonely blue boy...

    My name should be trouble
    My name should be woe
For trouble and heartache is all that I know
Yeah, lonely lonely blue boy is my name

    My life has been empty
    My heart has been torn
It must have been raining the night I was born
Yeah, lonely, lonely blue boy is my name

    Well, I'm so
    I'm so afraid of tomorrow
And so tired, so tired of today
They say that love is the answer
But love never came my way

I'm writing this letter to someone unknown
So if you should find it and if you're alone
Well, lonely, lonely blue boy is my name
Remember, lonely, lonely blue boy is my name

I clicked on the pic properties and it looks to be Cleveland. The feather banners on the poles seem to confirm that. Guy in the car looks like Bob Hope?
