regular visitors to the la roadster show in june . this year we will doing a drive from LA to lake tahoe returning down hwy 395 to Pomona.any automotive things to see along way. leaving LA june 7 thanks for any info
1. Don't buy gas in Lee Vining- mega $$$$ 2. The exhibit at Manzanar outside of Independence is worth a stop but not exactly hot rod related. 3. There's a pretty cool railroad museum in Bishop, again not hot rods but interesting never the less. 395 is an interesting drive with lots to see just depends on how much time you have.
Don't know about manazar, but the ghost town/state park of Bodie www.bodie.com, is definately worth a couple of hours (or half a day). There's a section of dirt road getting out there, but out V8-60 powered T-Bucket has made it.
Thanks for the advice,1 petrol was $1.20 extra , 2 stopped at Manzanar the display was informative. 3 saw the museum. Yes 395 was a wonderful drive down through pine forest. Many thanks
Thanks for the advise, we spent about half a day there ,you could easy stay a day or two depending on weather,we were told it get very cold in winter. many thanks.
no sorry,in Bishop they had a week long rodeo so there were plenty of big pickups and horse trailer ,I guess the cowboys think they are cool ride and do them up to impress the cowgirls.the rigs looked pretty expensive.regards
