I just hauled this home for a friend of mine, destined to become a hot rod. He's thinking fender less 327 and will be a 4spd.

  2. Based on my experience, there are far more stock, and semi hotrodded cars setting in urban home garages than there are out in the boonies. I will be 66 in two weeks and I'm just at the front end of the baby boom.Twenty five years ago when I was 41 years old, I was starting to have enough paid off on my mortgage and my kids were getting big enough that I could start building a hotrod. So me and about a gazillion other guys across North America went out and scoured the countryside, and dragged home coupes, roadsters, cabriolets, sedans, you name it---because they were there and they were cheap. About .001% of these guys actually went ahead and built finished working hotrods. All the rest of the guys eventually ran out of money, skill, talent or desire. When this happened, they didn't drag their "hot rods to be" back out into the countryside. They pushed them to the back of their garage and covered them up with broken lawn furniture, hunting equipment, aluminum canoes, and general household **** that nobody used anymore, but was too good to send to the dump. And they are still there..

West Falls, the ad was on craigslist. He would leave it up for a couple days then remove it, my buddy would call for me to check out the ad, I could never catch it while it was up...lol
I ask if it came from the West Falls machine shop that was auctioned off, that guy had some really nice stuff too. All he said was that the car came from Colorado, sub rails were great as well as the wood, I think the frame had original paint. Every fitting still had grease on it, really nice car, fresh upholstery on a stock seat and a rumble seat setup on the back.

  6. That's cool, I sold a bunch of Model A parts to a guy in his mid 80's from Springville. He had 24 Model A's and T's. He showed me a bunch of pictures of some of the A's, he had a milk truck, mail truck and the parts he got from me he was putting a tow truck together.

My buddy Bob bought it, he owns the 56 in the photo. He was bitten by the American Graffiti coupe like many others and wanted a 5 window for over 20 years. He's owned a 47 chev coupe prior to the 56, so it should be in good hands.
