Just the way we found this in central Florida. I hated the paint job and the **** ugly interior when we spotted it at Daytona Turkey run. Fate and Carma made it ours. After 15-16 years of driving this Chevy powered toy we love it. ;)

Just mounted my 15 inch whites...

The size variation was just enough to be noticeable.

I'm not a wide white guy but I must say ... they do "make" the ride.

    Nice coupe.

  5. Great 41 you have - Just got my 41 Super Deluxe coupe and returning the few non period parts back to original or speed parts, including a Hexagon twin Stromberg set-up.

Love the 41s - a time just before everything changed

OK, so I just bought a '41 business coupe... It has been sitting in a barn since 1959 when the previous owners father bought it for him out of an estate.
It has very low miles and even has the orginal Ford script tires still on it! It has suffered some damage while sitting all of these years, but mostly superficial. I took the cylinder heads off of the flathead V-8 and it looks practically new in the cylinders.
My own father recalls a '41 business coupe that he bought in 1956 at age 16. It was his favorite car from his younger days. Dad is 72 now and I can't wait to put him behind the wheel of his Ol' '41 again.

I will add some more pictures as I have time...

This car has 23,975 original miles. Lube and oil sticker shows last oil change in October of 1951 at just under 23000 miles. Car was last driven in early 1952. Has state of Washington inspection decal in window from 1952. Planning a slight clone of my dad's old '41. I have been talking with him and taking down some details on his old car. His car was a mild custom with a fake 1/2 continental kit attached to the trunk lid, dual exhaust with flame throwers, skirts, lowered in the rear, flip flop hubcaps and a dual carb set-up.

Anybody ever seen one of the fake continental kits??? Know where I could find one??

I have one too newly acquired, love the shape of it.
Trying to decide what to do with it. Would be a nice builder, would also be nice to turn into funding for finishing a couple other projects

Sam Barris built this one based on a two door 1941 Ford for Joe Urritta in the early 1950's.

There is more info and many more photos of the car on the Custom Car Photo Archive site.
Just click the photo for more.

more awesome pics. i dig the look. can't help much with cooling, though...

  23. I can't think of too many cars that look equally good as either a rod or a custom. The '41 does this with ease!! Great examples of both styles on this thread by-the-way...

That nut job is old Henry himself demonstrating how tough his soybean based plastic body panels were. Ford experimented quite a bit with soy based plastics, resins, foods and ink.

I 've seen fibergl*** 41 grill blank out panels in Speedway motors catalog. I've actually been thinking of putting a 41 nose with blanked out grill on my 46 business coupe.

GreenMonster,....great score,....finding a '42 !!!!!!!! Not many of that year were "civilian" vehicles . Most went to military, complete with the "G.I" type light switch and "convoy blackout lights".

    Mine's a bit different for a '41. It's a Deluxe Sedan Delivery with 35K on the clock.
