Does anyone know what these items are for?

    - I think the valve covers are SBC but they look much bigger than normal covers. Are these trying to look like BBC or do they have a specific purpose?

    Any tips are appreciated. :)

They are reminiscent of the Keystone valve covers for SBF, maybe they made some for SBC too? They should be marked on the inside if so. Also Larson Engineering made some funky oversize SBC covers as well, but I recall them being a bit more ostentatious, with crossed flags, etc.

Don't know about the covers but the distributor drive may be for BBC as it has no bypass hole.

yeah the small block dist drive looks slightly different. The valve covers look like small block chevy covers made for guys who wanted a big block but didn't have the balls to buy one.

Those valve covers were the rage for a short period of time in the 80's, I suppose they had some purported advantage but really just were supposed to make the SBC look bigger. Kinda like walking around with a roll of quarters in your pocket.

  8. Wanna sell/trade the dizzy drive?

  10. Those look like Larsen valve covers for a SBC to me. They were just a styling thing, kind of like that sock in your pants.

Those are similar to the Larson/Larsen covers, but they aren't made the same as the ones I have seen.

I was led to believe that certain rocker arm assemblys needed more room to operate, thus the taller valve covers.

That's true, it explains taller valve covers. But it does not explain wider valve covers.

I see no markings on them but maybe some scuff/grind marks on the inside where there "could" have been something.
My plan is to sell everything. However before I sell them, I was just trying to find out as much info as possible so I know what their values are etc.
If so, any guess for when these were made?

Looks like mostly 80s parts that you have there, although the 6 carb blower top is a 50s kind of thing.

  22. from what I remember they became popular in the early 80's. May have first come out in the late 70's, but not so sure about that.
Moroso made a similar style but they were two piece with 6 bolts holding down the top half.

The 4-71 2x4 adapter is Weiand and the breathers are most likely Stelling.

The other 4-71 adapter should be Weiand as well.

You need to do an INTRO ,

then as advised put your stuff in the classified section ..

Or you might make out better at the recycle center ..

If you would fill in your profile
we might get a better handle on what you are trying to do here.

    Just my two pennies worth....
    Sorry if i'm wrong..
