Hey all, I just picked up my new project from the original owner last night, haven't gotten it into my shop yet though. It's a 265 2 spd powerglide car, which runs, just has no brakes. Plans are to do all the body work and put it and primer for the time being, get it running/driving/stopping reliably and redo the interior. Sorry the pictures arent too detailed, was in sort of a rush.

Rear quarters need work, and front fenders. Found another set of blue steelies with caps and a starter rebuild kit in the trunk too!
And yes, I know where the gas door is! Hahaha

Thanks!! I've grown up around this stuff, just never came across anything I could afford to build a driver out of ( I'm 23 and 4 years into learning upholstery ). I basically just couldn't turn this car/price down

Congrats on the '56 , those little 265s will surprise you!! Fenders and 1/4s are precious although there are eyebrow and lower fender and 1/4 patch panels available.Check out trifive.com or chevytalk.com, there is a trifive bunch right here too. Enjoy !

  16. Glad to see you got a car to get into the game. You are going to love the ole chebby, they are just the right size and easy to work on. Don't ever get rid of it though or you will regret it later. They become an old friend. I've have mine 16 years.

Nice choice in the 56. You will love it. They have some nice styling and you can get very creative with your build. Good luck and have fun with it.
