How can it work for Terryville? Well, If you hit the road and shit happens, I will set my son up with the truck and trailer, just in case. Need to find out if he will be around though.

You have too much to do and then the time frame puts you at T'ville at 2:30 at best.

My son said "you only live once":D

but,...if it were me, which it ain't, I'd take your time to do it good today and Sunday, so you can get your car out of your business area by Monday? That's what i am doing this weekend, to get more room.

Cool. I misunderstood when you said oil ,filter adapter. I thought you meant oil bypass adapter.

So yes, I am suprised it clears the stock olds filter base with the new spin on.

Maybe you got lucky with the right brand of changeover bell? I was sure someone said that can't work....but it does :)

Now see if it engages the torus teeth ok

Ha, see? the old saying "stuff happens for a reason" ? Meaning that changover sat on that shelf for 40 years, waiting for YOU

Tony, Dave took advantage of my poor eyesight, and being a young, city dwelling lad, nice shiney things are what catches their eye:D

I must have walked past it a dozen times on two trips...duh. But it went where is was most needed, that's for sure, and I am glad it's one that seems to fit his torus.

Interesting that he ended up with a larger torus from B&M. I know nothing about hydramatic A/T at all, but I thought there was some hamb post about B&M using a better torus from another GM, but maybe I just assumed it would be smaller, not bigger.

That must have been a kick in the pants late last night when the cast iron lower half bell would not fit. Lucky to have that changeover part, and also, someone on the speed dial in Ohio for advice, to help with a jamb like that:cool:

Yes, in the shop, like every freaking day since forever. I almost finished that friends 23 dodge today, need 2 more hours, then try to snake it out from where it grew roots:D

That means i get to start up the Rocket and drive that one out of the way. That will get me going again.

I should have some adjustment data in a Motors Manual, if you don't have one.
