235 inline serial # id ??

    I have a 235 the head casting #3835913 and the block casting# 3835911 which all denotes to a 1954. Now the id pad is what i cannot figure out? 0043942F54XA I know the F is flint the 54 is for 1954 but what is the XA??? I cannot seem to find any info on that. Just want to know what is is out of.

    This listing under 1956 235. Maybe they used the same sort of thing for '54.

    That is the website i was looking under and didn't know if it was the same thing for the earlier years?
