  4. Little Richard is so over-the-top, even nowadays. A funny story my friend told me about 5 years ago, he was standing in line at a post office in Raleigh, NC, when this big older limo pulled up out front. The driver opens the door and out walks Little Richard, dressed up like you'd expect him to be, stepping out like he's hitting the red carpet. He struts into the post office and loudly exclaims, "LITTLE RICHARD IS MAILIN' A PACKAGE!!!"
    True story.
Can't wait to see that dude rock out.

First saw Dick Dale 20 years ago at the battle of the surf bands in Huntington Beach. This will be great to see him again.

Welcome news for the car guys, between gas, food, drink, and the hotel, the trip can get expensive, free admition for the car and driver is a great show of apreciation from your part alex, for without the cars , it's just a music festival, and the atmosphere would'ent be complete.

I sure wish Little Richard was playing inside the Casino. You can't see shit from the parking lot at the car show through the sea of people.

VLV needs to bring the HAMB's own "JB" back in 2013, he blew the roof off the ballroom last year. Hands down one of the best live performances I've ever seen. They should also bring back the Excellos, Sure Shots, Caesars, and Carlos & The Bandidos.

JB seems to have performed quite a few times over the years, and definitely a job well done.

Some that I would like to see.

The Bellfuries played this last time as well, but something was wrong with the sound system. They put them on the small stage, which was also stupid. Lucky for us they are a local band so we see them around here alot.

Apparently you weren't around in 1956 or hadn't looked at the video imbedded in post # 2. This was before he became the clown you are probably thinking of.

Two legends at one show, that's a lineup. The last time I saw Dick Dale was in 1964, at the Great Western car show in LA, which was promoted by Mickey Thompson. Dick shared the bill with another local act, The Beach Boys.

I had a great time last year. Thanks Axle.

I have been going since the top of the parking garage at the Gold Coast. I was one that did not watch any bands even when I had to buy a wrist band. I have to say the bands that have played the car show since have been great.

I think the car quality has went up recently also.

Thanks again Alex for droppng the entry fee for car owners. I plan on going again.

Right now there are 5-6 of us planning to make the trip out from KS in our rides, then head to Austin the following weekend for roundup. 3400 miles round trip for me and I can't wait.
