If I don't get out by 5:30 am then I'm done. Wife taked me out of AC last year and I should have my ass kicked. She did the same on heat 2 years ago. Needed my asskicked then too.

It's been fairly warm here in KS for a couple of weeks. My Dad installed a/c in his shop a couple of years ago and it makes all the difference in the world. 85 degrees is a hell of a lot better than 107. I just try to keep my projects for when he has rollers that we can pull out for a few hours and pull then back in when my small project is done. If I keep my house that is one upgrade I will do to my shop after I buy enough tools to justify it.:)

I just went fishing on the boat and drank some really cold beers ! I did think about what I am going to be doing next on the car but that was it . It's been in the low to high 90's for a couple weeks now and will be in the low to mid 90's and humid for at least the next week !
    That just plain sucks !

  7. I can't work in the heat at all. Feel sorry for you guys! It is supposed to get up to 72 degrees today! But, it is supposed to get to 95 by Sunday.
My shop stays very comfortable. The extra insulation was definitely worth the expense, both now and in the winter.

A/C in the shop, but not in the house. Another 100 degree day today means I'll spend the afternoon woking.

I'm taking a lunch break right now. Probably only in the low 90's, but 99% humidity here, and it's been hitting 97-8 all week.
Just finished sanding some bondo on my Chevy's doors, grinding out cracks in asteering wheel, and epoxying it. Now I'm fabricating bottoms for the extended door bubbles for my Chevy, and going to do some welding next.
Crazy...yeah. Hot? ooooohhhh yeah. Getting shit done????? Hell YEAH!

Wow you guys have high heat there. Here in southern Finland is 80 today and it is very rarely 90. Never been 100, all time high record was 99 two years ago.

I will visit Wisconsin mid-late August, I'd like to know how warm it usually is? Elsewhere late August-early September? I haven't decided yet where else to go during my vacation.

What heat? Coastal Maine.......72 degrees, beautiful here...of course I may be prejudiced growing up in the most beautiful part of the nation. Excellent fishing, hunting, people mind each others business, idiot bureaucrats don't last long! Winter aren't bad.....shop time!

Its usually in the mid 70's that time of year...could be 60, could be 80.

Its been pretty ridiculous here the past week. Im taking a break from the truck by enjoying a few ice cold brews and goin for a swim in my buddies pond.

Its been 95 to 100+ for a month here in N. Az. Not too bad when the wind is blowing. Cloudy & windy today, may not reach 85. Feels "cold".

Try sticking sweaty arms and hands into blasting cabinet gloves, Thats what I'm doing today blasting parts. It's 98 in the shop and thats with the floor fan running next to me. The only advantage out here is I have a air conditioned office.:)

My laser temp gauge said the hood on my wife's black VW sitting in the driveway was 177 degrees. The concrete driveway was 135 and the air temp was reported to be 103 yesterday.
My garage has AC, but I've been a lazy bastard of late.

  23. ice water ...,,,.. grow a set .

  24. Just walked outta the booth, 99 degrees shootin black base.
Wait an hour (it'll B 103 by then) and pour on the clear.
Should B plenty dry to color sand and buff 2morrow.
God I love my a/c office.

Was going to work on my camper getting ready for the Iola car show, but decided to drink beer instead. One of my better decisions! It's 68 in Duluth, unfortunately I am 90 miles south of there and it is in the 90's with high humidity here.

actually spent most of yesterday and today out working on the Falcon.... yeah, it's freaking hot and humid, but i grew up with no A/C and learned to deal with the heat. sweat a lot, drink a lot of water. get blurry, go cool off and don't come back until you're clear and sharp.

this kind of weather it pays to have someone keeping an eye on you. being alone and falling out due to heat will kill you deader then hell.

Speaking for myself (and possibly a few others)..... I am not a wussie..... but I am not the young man I used to be. That plus all the meds I take it is difficult fot me to handle the heat like I used to. So when I built our backyard workshop I designed it for A/C for the Summertime heat & heat for COLD Pittsburgh Winters.

The weather forecast for the weekend calls for temperatures to reach 100 degrees along with Pittsburgh's HIGH HUMIDITY.

We found a way to beat that heat wave...... WE ARE IN LA visiting our son. Weather is great.

Today we are going to the hot rod show at Sespe Creek and later in the day going to hook up with some fellow HAMBers..... should be a great 4th of July.

The main reason I 've lived in SF Bay Area is the temperate climate. Today, July 4th, the high 75-79 degrees, and tonight it will be in the mid 50's. Low humidity. Last night I needed a blanket. I like Oakland's (East Bay) weather the most. Live there seven years and loved it. I lived couple years in each of the following states: Georgia, Virginia, Texas, and Kansas. I will never move away from the SF Bay Area.
