Nice lookin ride so far, like where this is going. If you ever need a hand lemme know. what area are you in?
heavychevyboy, I live a couple blocks from Highpark. Sadly the car is in Cambridge in my parents garage... Where are you in Toronto? I'll be hitting it hard this weekend! If you want to come by shoot me a pm.
Got the rear kick up tacked in place and set... Really need to get that rear crossmember sandblasted before it gets welded in for good... Gonna get the front of the frame done this saturday. Just a little sweep up to it and we'll call the rails done for now. Until we fish plate the joints and get building motor and trans mounts. I still really love that picture with the frame hanging out of my dads truck...
Looking for steel eh? I've got a steel cowl and windshield posts here, near Calgary. It's a bit rough, but it'll do for somebody some day. Doug.
I like the sounds of that. I'll shoot you a pm later... Sounds like my Dad has welded the frame up solid this week and took the rear crossmember to the sandblaster. Time to get a front spring and a few more front end parts and we'll have a roller!
Ah.. Good to see you on here! I recognized those last pictures from Instagram.. Not a fan of fibergl*** but I really like where you're heading with this one. Can't wait to see when it's all together!
Yep, same Norton as on there. The Gl*** body will stick around while I find the pieces for a steel body... That might take a while up here in the great white north. Your car is looking awesome!
Got a lot more serious and kicked the front of the frame up on saturday. Time to get some more front end parts together to get this thing rolling...
'Cause that old FIBERGL*** body has soul! I can't paint it... Yet. ...did I mention it has holes in the firewall for an Ansen style master cylinder mount?
a fake T..... That makes it a faux T or even a faut... I leave you with how you pronounce it Looks like it will end up as an awesome beast, keep them pics comming
Really diggin' on Mcphail's old T lately! Just a shorter wheelbase and a little taller.... Pure HotRod!
Paint, no paint, build it your way after all it's going to be your ride. Who couldn't like the work your doing. Keep it going and have fun in doing so. It took me fifty plus years before I had the time to start building mine. Good Luck, Johnny Sweet
I love the red one I posted! Just a little shorter in the front and a little taller. I plan on running a pick up bed or nothing.
X2 on that red one. I'm not a fan of turtle decks myself. But that is one nice car. Love these t bucket threads, just adds to my inspiration and keeps me motivated to finish mine.
Kit car is lookin' good Norton, using the VW or the Chevette mill? Ha,ha.... all seriousness aside, I think this little car is gonna look killer when the next guy finishes it! LOL.....Needs stripes.
