Man, thanks for the invite. I'm sure gonna try to make it and will help spread the word! Hope to see a bunch of HAMBERS there! Nice place to get together!
Thanks Jon. I know it is really short notice, but it is the weekend of James Dean's passing. The James Dean Rememered Fan Club put on activities Friday and Saturday as well. They are having a candlelight vigil Friday night as they plan a walk to Dean's grave site. Hopefully some HAMBERs will make it out on Sunday.
How about an informal "Hamb" get together. I sometimes think I'm standing around talking to guys who i may already actually know. We should pick out a time and meeting place. Anybody interested?
CANDLELIGHT PROCESSION To mark the 50th anniversary of the death of James Dean this year there will be a candlelight procession to Park Cemetery where James Dean is buried. Anyone who would like to participate should meet at 6:30pm on Friday September 30th outside of The Friends Church in downtown Fairmount where the funeral took place. Everyone will receive a memorial candle and the walking procession to the gravesite will leave the church at 6:45 and should arrive at the gravesite at approximately 7:45 which will be 5:45 California time, exactly 50 years from the time of tragic accident. This is the first time that a candlelight walking procession in memory of James Dean will take place.
