Last of the new pieces fitted, The last was the kickout for the stock flathead starter, fits nicely , pulled the motor to get it fitted then dropped the motor back in to check if my plans worked strangely enough it worked out, once in awhile things work as planned,, now out the motor comes again to get all the new pieces welded solid. now i have to put one of the other oil pans on the engine being I butchered the one on it to fit the chassis ,thinking it would be a push start car orignally, self start will be much easier.

Hey Tim you might think of going to one of the hi zook starters I did and am glad I did as I also went to a mini battery and it works like a champ, less draw on the battery and less weight............ In fact I like it so much that I am thinking of replacing the starter in the truck!

Didn't do anything new to the dragster other than pull the motor back out, Mounted the winch and work lights on the hauler, getting it ready to haul the dragster down to work in the next week or so to tig it all up

Middle of nowhere is kinda nice most of the time, Winter can suck , a couple winters ago I went off the road in a blizzard figured it was only four or five miles to the house so I started walking got home about two hours later got frostbite on my face and the ends of most of my fingers, funny thing I walked by two homes but couldn't see them in the wind, now if it snows I stay put

Because i didn't want to build 8 foot long ramps, I buildt a set of wheels that fit in the lower frame rails to keep the frame from dragging on the ground while loading the car, looks kinda crazy but it works good, when installed the rear tires are about 2 inchs off the ground ,Hmm? might work good for warming up the car before runs, I think the new and improved set will be a little closer in

Cool idea Tim:) What about taking it one step futher, and also make into a starter trolly, then you need one less person when towing to the starting lane:)?

Don't give me any ideas Kjell , I have a hard enough time staying focused on one thing:D Had to do alittle creative thinking with my tie down straps , they were a little long for hook mount placement,Added some wood spacers, works fine now, got the car to the shop to start welding the new pieces, Garret couldn't make it , so I welded in a few brackets and some of the lower uprights, I'll leave the cage for Garret , that way I know it's right . Looks pretty tough Timmy!! I like the way this thing sits and the new cage parts. Aint this shit cool??!!
Keep up the good work Tim!

  29. Neat build, but welded seam tubing is not a good choice for building a chassis let alone you dont bend it with the seam out or 180 from the die. That is not safe as the seam is streched and weakens the tube drasticly. I am not being a dick but more of a concerned citizen.
