I would take that POS over a Charger any day, in fact, I would take it over 3 Chargers.

Your car looks great. The guy must be an idiot to even mention RR in the same sentence. I think you may have wasted your time talking to him. You can't fix shit for brains.

My wife and I have been to many of the same cruise nights as you and Brenda. I have been a car guy all my life. I firmly believe that no matter what someone brings to the cruise night ... there will be folks to look at it. EXAMPLE ... All the new Camaros, Mustangs and Dodges that show up at McDonalds cruise ins.

Tolerance ... grows on you as you grow older ( for most folks anyway ).
We ( you and I ) love 32 Fords. Others may love a Studebaker or a GMC truck. There is some reassurance that we are not misguided ... because a LOT of folks must love 32 Fords ... because of the number of ones being reproduced. It is the law of

  6. Your Charger "friend" was obviously an idiot who has the ability to let his mouth override his brain. I can imagine how I would have bowed up to that kind of BS considering the circumstances that got you this car. Kudos to not jumping in the guy's s**t and making him even shorter.
Ps.. I would liquidate some of my junk for a sedan that nice. Keep it that way.

It doesn't help when HAMB cowl tags show up in national magazines on controversial subject matter.

I think you have a great hot rod. The best thing about this 'sport' is it has something for everybody. I for one wish it was mine.!

It's getting to the point around here where guys are calling me "that rat rod dude"... I just don't really have the patience anymore to continue to explain the difference, I just say "Really? me? Well, I like old Hot Rods if that's what you mean!" Most of the time, I think they mean well and actually believe they are paying me a compliment. It's funny though, my last roadster was shiny black, LOTS of chrome and polished aluminum, fully finished interior, functional top... and I still got the "Cool Rat Rod" most everywhere. People just don't know any better.

BTW, your sedan kicks ASS, it has a KILLER backstory and I'd rather have it over any challenger, any day of the week!

I hear the same thing about my 40 all the time, it has 40 yer old checked paint and crushed velour interior. Not exactly in style, but it has been with the car too long to mess with, and still shows and functions well. It pisses me off when I hear it, but then when someone tells me it is cool and leave it alone it makes it all better. until the cycle begins again!

Yup that is a real POS !!! HAHAHAHA
I had a simular thing happen this Saturday. I was sitting behind my buddys 31 Modle A coupe and these 2 older gentelmen walked up to my Roadster and started to pick it apart for being toooo low and how you could not drive it and if it ever had a flat tire it would wreck. After I had enough I got up and asked them how they knew so much about this car? Their comment was well everyone knows that RatRods are unsafe!!! Now these guys are older than me and I'm 64 Soooooooooooo I enlighten them that this is my car and it never drags on anything!!! Look underneith it you will not see and drag marks!!! It has 12000miles since the last rebuild and it is a Fucking Hot Rod and not a Rat Rod!!!!!

I'm curious. Old ('60's-'70's) Charger or one of the new ones? I assumed it was a new one, but you know what ass/u/me means.:D

Im glad the rat rod fad is going away here. Most ignorant people see an old car without a shiny paint job and its automatically a "rat rod". I would love to have a car like yours! Who cares what they think as long as you like it.

The guy with the Charger probably lives in one of those huge cookie cutter houses in a gated community and probably paid someone to build the car..

Your ride is traditional hot rod which is becoming more rare as we go.

Stopped by a nearby show today to scope it out. Nothing camera worthy.

Only vintage rides there looked like they were done by Foose.....

So don't feel bad for your ride, feel bad for the multitude that have lost sight of what traditional hot rodding is.................

Anyone who is a real "car guy" wouldn't make that comment or most of the others we've heard . We respect the work of others , even if it may not be our taste , we find something positive to say . I love the store bought magazine racer , while we have a album of the build , I'll ask him if he has any shots of his car on the assembly line ?
