I'm a 26 year Mexican kid that loves hot rods/rat rods and plan on building/finishing my 4dr sedan some day. I love this shit with a passion. I've been told I'm a 50yr old trapped in a 26yr old body cause of my music choice, how I dress, and act I guess lol. I've built Baja trucks and sidebyside atv but this will be my first ever hot rod build and all I got is a roughed up body, gotta start some where

Welcome! When I was in high school (class of 2003) I constantly searched for people my age (I am now 27) that love 50's rock and roll, big band music, 50's clothing styles, and such. I was pretty much the only one. I knew that there had to be others like me who feel like they were born in the wrong time. Or told that they are an old soul.( if I had a choice, i would decorate my house with nothing but 1950's decor and household items and try to disguise the current items, computer, flat screen tv etc to not appear out of place. My old lady isn't into it all that much so I cant just yet... I will prevail someday lol. I live in a house built in 51.. and I have a 55 Chrysler New Yorker deluxe in the garage so I am almost there. )Within the last 4 years or so, I have seen that I am not the only one. I have met so many people who feel the same as I do.. I live in San Lorenzo which is about 3 hours away from Fresno. If you are ever near the SF bay area let me know, I wouldn't mind meeting another "retro-ist" (as I call it) like myself... Yea I really don't dress the part just jeans whatever tshirt don't smell and my hair slicked back lol but yea that sounds cool to me if I ever head that way lol
I think we were all there at one time. I was always told that I was an old soul. Next thing you know, you blink and you are the old soul. I remember when I was 23 and people thought I was way older as I was running jobs in construction and showing older people how to do stuff. Now I'm the old guy that know all. I wish I could find some young guns that could do what I did when I was in my 20s. My body is starting to protest at 50 years old. It seems lik yesterday. Welcome Thrasher, sorry about all the noise from the F-16's flying into the Fresno Air National Guard. That's where I work but I live in Madera Ranchos. A buddy of mine lives close to Clovis and Kingscanyon by the firestation on the east side of Clovis Ave.
