First time I've noticed - this scene was shot at a Pontiac/Vauxhall dealer, but it looks like they cleared out the lot and loaded it with Fords, Edsels and Mercurys. Guess Universal and Hitchcock had a product placement deal.

All things considered, this could have gone a lot worse - though I wouldn't want to see the damage all that rebar must have done underneath.

Is that the window sticker I see? Geez. Brand new car and didn't even make it home from the dealer.

I would be suprised if Vauxhall had any impact in USA.We got them here in Australia becasue of the right hand steering wheel of course and our association with the "motherland".
Our family had a 1955 Velox,4 door sedan. That came after the fugly
Vanguard from around 1951 I think.I also recall a little Fiat Topolino that the old man used to drive to his surgery in the city for economy purposes.
    (That was the "second" car)
Then we moved into the Holden range with Dad starting with a 1958 Holden FC wagon, then a 1963 EJ wagon and a 1966 HR wagon.
