    fleet-master said it all.i feel the same way guys thanks to all who help keep this one going. it takes me to a time when we were innocent but great.since my wreck in 05 ive longed for a time when cars were still cool and people still cared. with this thread i get to go to that time and place.again thanks to all of you.

    What are those 2 cylinders ahead of the grill, They look to be some kind of air ride or hydraulic ride adjusters they're connected to the springs but look way to big to be shocks only.[​IMG]

    Dampers, or shocks, many early Jitney Buses had those.

    They are shocks. They were popular on large cars, like this pierce arrow.

    My grandfather had a nash convertible like that in the fifties.

    I go to alot of car shows but have never seen another one!

    Here is one for swi66. I bought this 1963 Corvair in 1973 for 10 bucks. It was a 500 or a 700, had a bench seat and rubber floor mats. It was really solid. My brother bought a rusty Monza for the engine for his dune buggy so I put the interior in this car.

    Me with my new toy. I wish I still had it, I remember the radio, horn turn signals, dash lights all worked. Have never seen another one. My dad must have been wrenching on something.
