We're hoping to be there Friday morning...(The good Lord willing and if the creek don't rise...) when will you be letting folks into the track ?

Technically on Friday not until 1pm...FYI there is some racing going on Friday....NOT vintage racing. So if you want to make p***es they will charge you the $30 fee, and if you show early before 5-6pm you will be charged the normal $10 entry fee ON FRIDAY...so if your vending we suggest you come in late afternoon/evening by then most of the Pontiac club will be cleared out and allow you the room you need to operate....we will be there before that, ...so this gives you time to stop at the hotel freshen up grab some chow and meet us at the gate....excited to check out your ride!!

Won't be vending... were coming down with a minimalist at***ude and leaving all the big heavy stuff behind. Just enough to race and survive the weekend.

I will be there, but unfortunately not with my Falcon Just way too much to do to it, to be legal and safe. Sounds like it's going to be a HOT one....just checked forcast and it going to be close to 90 degrees on Saturday! But that sure beats that flood of last year!

 

I couldn't get my car in order to properly run 1/4 mile sooooooooo....Steve kindly suggested we run our match race 1/8 mile. Cool guy! Don't kid yourself though....we are gonna bring the heat! See you all there. Can't wait!!!

 

Even with the rain last year it was still the best day at the dragstrip I had ever had. I can't wait to see some of these cars in action especially Bean Dip's , Saxon's, Johnny Rottens and the little engine that could. See all you guys FRI or SAT.

 

Looks like everything is set, picking up food and heading out Thursday to meet up with some people in Indiana, looks like 12 from Great Lakes G***ers will be the and Steve you are always welcome with us.

I have been watching "Blew By You" on YouTube for a while now so its a real joy to get to run with him. Really knocked out with the quality of cars coming in. Planning on sitting out Friday and Sunday so I can watch some of the action. Bring on those g***ers!!! I dig em!!!

Well, the coupe is back together and driving... I'll be there Friday and Saturday, not sure on Sunday yet.

For those of you thinking about going to watch (or race) - DO IT! This is, by my account and several others I've talked to, one of the best vintage racing events. If you have doubts, look at where some of the cars are coming from. This IS kind of a big deal.

any idea if this 28 could run with no side gl*** probly 13.00-14.00 sec p*** it does not have sfi belts its mainly street

 

This may or may not answer your question but we ran at the meltdown last year and I was told in the staging lanes more then once to roll up my window before the start, at the headsup we had to have no cracked gl*** and windows rolled up!

 

how fast were you going? were gonna put a window net in it before we come we planned on bringing the truck with us but never really thought about the window deal till i'm hrs away from loading it ha ha damit thanks for your input

 

Low 15's to low 14's in a more door wagon, a net may be all right at your times but I'm not sure. Check NHRA rules. The rolled up window may be a track liability thing and not an NHRA rule!

...well, the time is gettin close now!,....I gotta commend the Fugitives and all those involved in putting on the Meltdown, you have done a superior job of gettin the word out and whoever is running your website needs a pat on the back for an excellent job. This will be the best Meltdown to date!
