you can try taking up a little more on thr kickdfown linkage but that will also hold 4th a little longer
I'm having the same problem with the Hydro in the 5W I got from Ca. with the 324" Olds in it. It shifts way too early, and is pretty annoying. I'll let you drive it when you get up here to see it. Great photo of the cars yesterday.
I have to giggle slightly..... All in fun if course ...... You guys have to understand these early hydros shift like this normally ..... Yes you can alter them a little.... But they will never shift like a modern trans And first is always quick and firm..... One of the reasons they worked great for racing.... Back in the day Tony
No pat i didnt thank god!! It went well had a good time. Yeah but i think i am all adjusted out it is what it is when i get the shifter right i think it will be fine as i can shift the way i want and should beable to get out and in front of whomever wants some Alex i gotta get down but been busy and had a broke car lol i think it is what it with these after all the research i have done. I agree, they do look good with a lowered lid, but I'm not doing it. I'll leave that to the next guy. The flames were on it when I got it. They're only lit during the day, they go out at night.

Goatroper, I ran into this issue a few years back with a 63 Caddy with a dualcoupling 4spd. The owner didn't like it shifting so quick and I couldnt make him understand that it is more like a trans with underdrive, not like a late model with ovedrive. In actuallity, it is easier at highway speeds because the driveshaft and diff gears dont spin as fast.
Time for an update... Saw Dave at cruise night last night. First time he parked, a piece o crap Honda civic parked next to him So he moved down front, then this parked next to him, At least it's American! Face it Dave, your car is a magnet, everyone wants to be near it. When Dave fired it up to leave, he set of car alarms! HAha, it was great. He got on it when he left, man, that car hauls ass! I'm a dumb ass for not thinking of videoing it.

This is a great venue, There are alot of different cars but they need to segragate a little the vettes with the vettes and the mustangs and trans-am s together I`m mean wtf i had a 82 honda civic park next to me and then a cadliac cimmaron aswell , when i fired up the coupe and it sounded off those alarms of those shit box trans ams i just smiled and throttled it up more. And when took off i got into it a little They may throw me out if i go back. Its a good time seeing everyone and chewing the fat but look at wtf people bring in to show gues its just the way it is but its not for me. They dont like my Rat Rod Scott how did it sound? In the pic you can see the honda on hill behind me. That merc was absoultely beautiful if i only had 20k.... I stopped going to daytime cruise "nights" back when the PT Cruiser came out. That last show, had a factory 68/69 Hemi Dart lightweight drag car, still lettered up from the drag days, and nobody was looking at it. They were all gathered around a new PT Cruiser. Maybe it was the cute stuffed shybaby doll, they had on display. The Dart owner screwed up I guess, he only had a sign board with all the old history.

Just got word that that black vette convertable 60 something pulled a horror show when he left cut off the train burned tire over 150 feet (NOS) and the patrolman on foot radioed ahead they kept him for well over a hour on side of road. Also heard there looking for any info on a brown Hot Rod with no plates who left rather fast and made loud ,michievnesslynoise and plan to speak with said driver this week! This is from a person who was there talking to the cops and the manager. I guess i better lay low for a few weeks And there is zero tolerance for that kind of thing at this show!! I remember looking at that vette, a mid-year roadster with nitrous. Wish I stayed for that show! I don't recall a brown hot rod though.
