She will fly out on Fri as last time but she got an extra day off so she can stay till Mon. I'll head home on Tues.

 

By the way I found that a really cheap pair of hospital "scrub" white pants slip easily over Levis. Two years ago I used that trick and it kept the sun heat off of my lower half. They way very sheer, light and cheap. About $12 for Cherokee white scrub pants.
I love my Levis for their durability and this is a great why to keep them cool...

Cool, literally. I just ordered 4 more pair of Wooly Bully socks. Padded, breathe well. Lost 2 or 3 pair last year in my tent when we pitched it............forgot they were inside!

Found some more goodies for the raffle. One of which is a Craftsman Ohm Meter/voltage light tester combo. Came out of my stash. I think we have close to 20 items in my pile with close to the same coming from folks at the salt!

 

I don't know if anyone will want it but I'll throw in one of my "Y-Block Guy Racing 416" T-shirts for the auction. XL

Maybe even one of the ladies Tanks.

Got a lot done this weekend prepairing for Speedweek! I'm feeling really good about this!

Chase/Tow truck; new cruise control, wired for new trailer, charged A/C, lubed chassis and u-joints and topped off all fluids. Truck feel ready to go!



Race Truck; re-torqued heads, checked valves, charged battery, heat cycled engine (ran it till 180* reved it to 7k sounds eager and angry ;-)) washed it and aired tires to desired pressure.

 

its all looking good tim, not long now............... its so hot in okla now it will be a break to go to the salt i do believe...

 

Same here, today was mild at 95..........the salt will be temperate!

 

Me and the crew will see ya in a couple of weeks !

Rolling up from Saugus California in my '63 Ranchero and my buddy will be in his Model A Sedan. His son will be coming in from Petaluma in his '32 Tub. Can't wait to get back to the Salt!!
