Hi my name is Chris Wells. I'm 26 years old from Australia.I own a shop called Bus Motor Home & Vehicle Engineering on the sunshine coast QLD. We pretty much build anything that comes in the door from buses to cars. I've been on the H.A.M.B for a few years now and current building my first hot rod its a 1930 ford roadster its finally up to a rolling stage. I've been using my mates body to build it off and about to go to the states to get a body and motor on the 20th of august. It will have a tri powered 350 small block with a 4 speed muncie box Heres a few photos of the build so far.
Yeah got my PTB just have to do brake and fuel lines mocked up for the first inspection. The inpectors have already had a look at it and are happy but just havent signed it off yet.And the 6x2 sounds good how much are you looking for?
Hey Chris, real nice, should bring it down to the Gold Coast for the Nationals next Easter, finished or not! Cheers Ian S
Y'know, it's always fun to read a thread like this, because you get to see what the English language looks like outside North America Nice build.
Looking awesome dude! If you didn't know, a mate and myself started an Aussie Hambers FB page for all of us to show off our cars, post our usernames, organize events ect ect. https://www.facebook.com/groups/402037409856418/
Very impressive, will follow this one. Are those gussets riveted, and does TAC approve. They are awesome.
Thanks they are 8mm button headed bolts welded from behind and the Allen key filled and smoothed then I tigged them to the frame so when its painted it just looks like its riveted.
Thanks and yeah me and a mate are getting a container there will be some room left what are you after ?
Hi Chris. The brake pedal pushrod looks like it has a bend in it , if it has it will need to be changed to a straight rod as a bent one could bend even more and lose your brakes if you hit the brakes hard.
Hi oz-bucket There will be a bit of 6mm bolted where the pedals side on and then back to the x frame it's all sorted just haven't finished it .thanks for your in put though.
