I'd love to know what happened to all those wonderful race cars. All those Willys, Mustangs, and Nomads........................

 

Only Pete would experiment with a set of "gooved" slicks mounted on a reversed set of Halibrands

 

After 1672 pages, 33,439 replies and almost 7.5 million views you would think that we have seen just about everything but then Mutley comes up with this collection of pix to blow us away again. Thanks mate.

Ive heard about ppl reversing there wheels back in the day but never actually seen it! How common was this? What was the actual purpose? Did it have any negative affects?

 

Most of the time it was for "offset" or back spacing problems. Lots were ran up front that way.

 

It's not exactly in motion, but it is a drag car. . .

 

Not to hijack Skip's thread in any way, but it should be said that you guys would probably dig the daily TJJ posts. If you don't already, I recomend you check it regularly.
