A few more from the Bourbon trail.. :D

I need to lower the ass-end a bit, but don't want it to bottom out on the bed floor, and I am not gonna cut a hole for clearance. I maytry to flip it and see what I end up with. Anybody had anyluck flipping the rear with out hitting the bed floor?

lrs30, my truck is flipped and C-notched and I hit the bed floor constantly and I'm only running a 1" drop block. The plan is to raise my whole bed floor as soon as I find a good floor panel.

what is the replacement seat for my 63....looking to relocate the fuel tank to the rear.....and get some room in the cab. Being 6'3" it's TIGHT with the stock seat!!!

And...in your best opinion....what's the best front clip to go with????? Crown Vic?

Im also 6'3" and I also took the gas tank out of the cab. I took the stock tracks and welded an extension on the front and redrilled the back hole and it gained me about 4" from the original seat location. I also cut almost 6" out of the steering column moving it in closer to the dash, Tons of room now!!:D

Thats a bad ass uni, im going to def check that build thread out!!!

  13. You can run bronco buckets in it or possibly Tbird buckets and push them against the back of the cab where the fuel tank used to be. Best front clip would be Dodge Dakota from Industrial Chassis out of AZ. He made the setup very easy to set in place and weld up in a day and the geometry and the way it's built is the best for our trucks and strong as hell IMO. Crown Vic is pretty easy but more work involved as far as power steering on them go, brackets being built, etc and the offset for the wheels are horrible because it's a wide front end compared to the original width.
    Good luck on the build!

  16. No problem 36Chevrolet... BTW, is that your 5 window truck in your avatar? If so, I like it! I have been wanting a 47-54 Chevy 5 window for years and have had my eye open for one for the past year now. I'd love one on an S10 chassis and use it as a shop truck to drive the hell out of.

Binga, that stance is perfect for these trucks. Bigs and littles also help.

  28. I recently picked up a 62 Unibody. Where are you guys getting repro parts for these? Door seals, window rubber and felts ... etc etc.

    Thanks!
