I posted this pic awhile back. Just wondering - has anyone ever seen a split grille Murray pedal car like this one?

  21. The way I remember it, the Arfons brothers were competing against each other.
Too many different features to be the same car. The term "car" doesn't seem appropriate for a device like this. Maybe "acceleration machine" ??

Here's a shot of my pickup from about '58. It is sitting just outside 'Steve's Tire Service' in Manville, NJ, and while the bed is stacked with tires, it has not been lettered up yet. The shop truck lettering that was done at about that time [for $25] is still on the truck today while it now is running the roads around Westminster, Md.

In 1935 Stein's, the New York based men's clothing store,
opened their first store in New Orleans on the downtown
corner of Canal and Carondelet. In 1947 they moved into
a new store designed by August Perez on the uptown
    corner of Canal and Carondelet

Art could change the car between runs - He and his Brother were always tinkering with it all the while working on the Jet version
