I am curious though if anyone can help me on taillights for this. I am liking the ones I have seen in a previous thread. The ones that are in the bumper guards but I am not sure where you find them?

  2. Usually have to make the bumper guard ones don't you?

We have a coupe that could use some help from one of those 4drs to be a little more complete, if they can be bought shoot me a PM -

Well I hate to say it but this Merc will have to be mated to another chassis(1979 Cadillac Coupe De Ville). I have to replace all the floors and lower body panels for the most part. I have also found this to be pretty rough throughout other areas but I think all is going to be well and will post pics tomorrow of the last couple of days worth of progress.

I almost forgot to show the pics of my oldest son and I cutting the chassis for this swap. We cut the factory welds and just removed 3 inches and then welded it back in the factory space. He thought this was cool.

It is a rainy day and well I thought I would take a quick pic of the Merc. We dropped the rear a little and well it still is only a shell so I am sure it will be lower when everything is done.

Soo Many cars So little time. Love the 49-50 mercs. The first car I drove at 16 years old in 1964 was my moms 1954 merc. If I had only known how cool it was then, she sold it to me for $100. bucks But all I could dream of was my 23 bucket with a 383 ci. in it.
