I was going to come over and give you a hand with your bumper today. Oh well. I remember when you first drove it to Garlits, it's come a long way buddy. You done good.
Awesome thread and story! Glad you are seeing it through and showing all how to do the same. Keep on, keepin on!
Sorry I couldn't make this weekend, maybe next. Spent all day Sunday and most of Sat. at the junkyard getting Impala parts and shit for Dallas' Edsel.
No biggie bro. Took her out so I could back her in to do candy/pearl fades, the bottom half was kinda boring but the real reason I did this is because I cut through the paint on the peak of the hood, it's serendipity because I'm really liking how she looks a lot.
Looks great! I dig the pearl. Funny you cut through the paint...you did the same on your 54 if I recall... tough nuts man.
I use a DA to color sand with the 3M stick-it system, I shouldn't have gone near the peak with a machine, shoulda done it by hand, I'm really kinda glad it happened, I like the paint better now.
Vaguely reminds me of Da'Gostino's Packard although the quality of mine will be less than anything he gets built
Wow, looking great! Just got from the land of cheese and money today and can't wait to see it for real.
Hey man, I haven't had a pink car since I painted my first Capri that color in 1986, it's time for another one, and I can't wait for the "why didja paint it pink?" questions.
Hey, Nads....you know the late, great Fonzie from up here....he once told me if you spray old plastic lenses with urethane clear, the cracks will remelt into themselves and the lense will look new again....never tried it, though! So if you've got an old set, give it a shot!
