  6. Here's my 59 Plymouth Suburban. The 318 was done so so I swapped in a high milage (cheap) 360 Magnum and adapted an A833 O/D using an 89 Dodge D150 bell. I've replaced the eyebrows and the right rocker (inner and outer) but there is plenty of rust left to tackle. I can't find replacement steel for the rear wheel openings. :-/

I would love to know more about this one. I thought Packard had dropped wagons along with the pregnant elephant design - is it coachbuilt?

    Here's two of mine.

The all light blue one is turning into a 50's/60's hot rod. Trying to keep it somewhat period correct, except for the disc brakes and a coupla other small things.
299 Stude engine, roller cam, heavilly ported heads, quick change rear axle with GM truck arms holding it in place, alum. Halibrand copy wheels for the street, with the same rear wheel only the real Halibrand with slicks when it comes time.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

And this one's new to me. It's on its way to being my daily driver. it's getting a stock 259 with a GM T-200-4R trans, worked over Dana 44, disc brakes. Don't know what to do about the paint though..

P.s. - sorry bout the small pictures

This would look sooooo cool converted to remove the B pillar.

    Only if it's functional!

You might like the 59 Meteor I am gathering parts for right now, it's a 2 door wagon I am going to convert to a 2 door hard top wagon!

I agree, my brother and I just put the same scoop on his 57 Mercury truck and it's functional, looks great on there.

Or maybe stretch the drivers door and make it a sedan delivery, dropped a bit and maybe even chopped a bit....hmmm, I sense a possible photoshop project here! :D

Damn. I don't even know how many wagons I've had since this thread originally started.

And the current chrome pointed spoke wheels.

  18. The scoop is functional but I haven't got the airbox for the air cleaner built yet.

I've fabbed a lot of stuff but bodywork is not my bailywick. I'm learning on this old girl. I'm going with more of the mild custom thing but loosing the B pillar would be cool, if I were up for it.

Hey Kerry, here are a couple of ideas. Move the B pillar back and use Fury doors, but using the leading edge of the C pillar, make it a sedan delivery, chop it about 3 " and drop the whole thing. Guarantee you'll be the only kid on the block with one of these! :D

  22. I bought this 58 Dodge suburban as a parts car for my D500 wagon, but I don't have the heart to tear it down as it's too nice.

I was just admiring that one on the sitting and rotting thread, what are you going to do with it?

  24. I'm thinking a 440 swap, front discs and an explorer differential and it'd be back on the road. Easy build. Unfortunately for now, it's gotta get put on the backburner like alot of my stuff. Yeah, I'm one of those "someday I'm gonna fix it up" kinda guys.
