  2. I know of a '55 in walking distance that has been sitting in a guy's driveway under a tarp for at least 20 years. "Ima gunna fix 'er up one of these days". Guy must be about 80 now.

Just think of the money he could have saved in tarps for the last 20 years if he sold it to me the first time I asked.

There's always one that makes that statement!---The "I'm a gonna" group has been around since after WWII.
Meanwhile, guys that are "drooling" over a certain make,& model, have to resort to accepting something similar,----What a shame!

This is the Anderson Special that was based out of Kansas City, MO. It was driven by A.F. Scott and was entered in three races on the 1915 AAA championship trail. We are looking for more info about the make-up of the car, Scott and the owner.

Stop by TheOldMotor.com to see enlargements of this interesting car along w/press articles that have been found.

Or possibly Finland? The swastika has the "short legs" that seems more typical of that insignia.

A casting for a movie or play - wanting people with actual experience. Most likely to be "real"-looking extras.

IN fairness, it should be pointed out that LeMay fought hard for enlisted housing, 24 hour chow halls, dorms instead of open bay barracks - essential for 24 hour operations -, faster promotions, and my favorite ... base auto hobby shops, fully funded until 1985! A hard-ass, yes. But also a COMMANDER, not an administrator.

I was going to post a current photo and then realized just how sad the 'then and now' comparison would be.
