Yeah like LN7 nut said, its a 36-38 Chevy or GMC. Let me know if you can pull parts off that cab, Id like that cowl & those doors perhaps. I would like the WHOLE cab but shipping would be a bitch.

I got sad so I had to show a bright side. This is when I picked up the truck I got off ebay. You can't tell, but there were 150-200 cars/trucks there. All 60's & older. Old guy had a salvage yard & wouldn't sell the old stuff. He died & kids sold off the lot to a hot rod shop (Scott's Rods?) in Neodesha, KS. They put all on ebay. Great guys. 1-1/2 years later I started working on it. Realized I lost bill of sale. Called them & Scott sent me another.

My guess is it is a 37 or 38 being that the door hasn't fallen off the 36 had wooden pillars for the door to mount to.. you can also tell by the body line on the lower edge of the cowl.. if it has a full body line on the cowl it is a 36. The 37-38 had half length body lines due to where the fender crossed the cowl ( i think i can see the line on the cowl where the fender was.. making it a 37-38)

Id still save it, mine was almost that bad when I started

^ Thats what I was going to say. DEFINITELY at least a 37-38. I have very little experience with the 36's, so I assumed since most parts work on that year as well, it may be a 36.

  8. Dang! you guys sure like to quote so that the same photos show up over and over again. Why don't you just erase the unrelated photos when you post? Save some bandwidth.

If the photos are all on the same page it doesn't affect the bandwidth at all, but I agree on deleting the one unrelated to your reply.

(And nobody ever knows how to make the ¢ symbol when they say that! :D)

Don't forget to mention you have to use the keypad, not the row of numbers above the alphas ... look up the value for any character in an ASCII table http://www.asciitable.com/

Now it's in my garage on the back burner!

Found this last night...Pretty solid car, nice trunk floor and minor holes in the pans. As with most the front crossmember is rotted. No engine or trans.

Nice, all your trucks have such cool door graphics!

Amazingly, that insanely rusty Edsel I just got looks like it has a good crossmember...

I took a a/c unit like that out of a 60 Chevy thinking I could use it in my 37 p/u but it was too big.

This is a pix of me saving what's left of a 67 camaro convertible. It has been setting since about 1977 Not much left because people kept robbing body parts over the years. It was raced in super stock in the late 60s and early 70s by Jimmy Little. The reason I'm saving it is because When I was a kid I loved watching this car run. It is said to have been built by Dick Harrell I haven't been able to prove that but still working on it. Need to find Jimmy Little for more info on this car. I will post a pix if it in it hay day also.[IMG][/IMG]

This is it in it's hay day note the clear hood scoop and lace paint job a Dick Harrell trade mark. I sure would like to find more history on this car. Thanks ~Quain~[IMG][/IMG]

  27. I don't think there is enough left there to be worth an effort.

  28. I know a guy who bought a gas cap for a '37 Harley Knuckle. He now has a show winning perfect, 100% authentic bike! So there is enough there to be worth the trouble. Many of my cars only started with and idea! ;) ;) ;)

Send me a link if you start a build thread. I've started with less....

  30. I know Camaro guys pay crazy money for them, but you would have a fortune in that, more than its worth unless its some kind of Yenko or other rare specialty car.
