Oh goodness, an actual 1957 Buick that is in focus and almost the theme of the photo. Rare indeed! I have been tramping through this site from the beginning for months and have found maybe 4 photos with a 1957 Buick in it and that's a lot of photos. I am beginning to think either no one drove this year of Buick after just a couple of years or we have a lot of tummy button chev and ford posters here. Perhaps this is why when you do find a 57 Buick for sale it has always been sitting for years. .... " More Ovaltine?" no just More 57 Buicks Please. ;)

  3. the chevy with portholes is rarer.

I saw this car in Indiana Pa ~6 years ago. It was still being used as a promo car.

Just to clarify...the original was lost to a junkyard years ago and they have reproduced it. The one you saw is a beautiful reproduction of it. I have the build article somewhere, but who knows where. I believe it was in Mopar Action or Cars & Parts magazine. Notice some subtle differences.....

What I wouldn't give to have this little baby today. My dad gave me his old 54 4dr Savoy when I was a kid between cars. Good little car you couldn't kill no matter how hard you tried, even with the powerflight (?) trans. Or did the PF come out in 57? What was the 2 speed called, I have forgotten. Old age you know. I owned enough of them.

Something like this might get me out of the house and out and cruising again. Nothing special, just a nice straight Plymouth 2 dr wagon I could put my scooter in the rear of and run a mild flathead 6 with a split manifold, 2 carbs and dual exhaust.
