Trailing arm....? .. meaning the 49 Olds arms for the rear end?

If, yes... which end of it?

Dave, the toe board and hump look great !! Met Scott at Kimball's and worked on the coupe some more today. Let's hook up for the Fitchburg Drags if you are parking it. If you are gonna run it you'll be in the pit area. Stay in touch. Brett

Frank The front of the trailing arm where they plucked a tie-rod up through frame , I put a tapered slug and tached it and it cracked the frame and tore out.... I was hoping to change it over winter but it wont last IDK what to now. I was going to keep the olds trailing arms but running parallel like they are and welded rigid just wont work. Going to take some time to figure out.

Brett how was the latemodel and corvette show  all yuppi`s. Hope it was a good time did you take your car? I will be in the pits and i beleive you can roam around there too if not i`ll look ya up. You may beable to see me at the autograph session aswell :p

Sugestion for the tappered slug/tie rod situation. Take a piece of flat bar or angle ( 6 or 8 inches long ) at least 5/16thick , same witdth as the inside bottom of the 32 frame. Drill a hole to accept the od of the slug, weld in the to flat/angle bar and a matching hole in the frame for it to go through. Mount the flat/angle bar inside the frame by welding or temporary with 4 bolts to get through end of this season. Might have to grind on the outside edge of the flat or angle corner because there is a slight radius inside corner of the frame rail for a good tight fit in the corner.

I took the 57'. I pulled in with Scott behind me in his coupe and the parking guy tells me to park right in front with all the other new vettes....yeah right !!
Their was some nice stuff there but as usual a lot of new crap and muscle cars.
Not many Hamb friendly rides but the food was great.
p.s. Maybe you can sign my Jegs hat or how about my glove box door like all those cobra guys with C. Shelby:D:D

Outta the blue yesterday Jake started sputtering and fluttering just off idle then would pull hard and was fine. I have checked everything twice cant find what it is been racking my brain for 2 days. I will be at the orange drag reunion but i dont think i will race its not worth it if its going to act up. Stop by and say hello.

Was great to see you guys had a good time. JAKE sputtered off line all day cant put my finger on it yet but when i do i will be @ New England and show that it is better than that off the line. I lost about 3-4 car lengths off the line with it acting up. But that`s the way it goes was good seeing everyone met alot of new people where can you go for 10 bucks and have so much fun!!
