Have you considered extending the sheet metal to the outer reveal line,
    for a more integral appearance?

how about 53 cadillac rear bumer or 56 chevy rear bumper....something that might wrap around those taillights nicly.

  17. i like it. i always thought those tail lights were a little "heavy" looking. looks good so far though. i really like mo's suggestion. 55 chevy front bumper and spalsh pan, straight up and down quads.

Looking good so far dude. Love HT chops! 56 chevy rear bumper might work well with those tail lights you are running.

Actually, the '55-'56 Buick bumper is factory-built to wrap around those taillights. The '56 is thinner, but usually has the exhaust tips "flat" underneath the bumper tips...dependent on which Model they came from. (Century, Roadmaster, etc.).

Good choice of lights though, and very rarely done. I can tell you put some thought in this process ! Great idea !

i have the 56 bumper, im going to trim it down getting rid of the bottom portion and having a thinner profile and fab the rear body to have a finnished under bumper section.

as for the rear window... i will mold a plexi one of of the original glass.. i still have to move the section of the rear deck forward two inches to kill the goofy bump in the glass compaired to the contour of the roof.

  24. looks good man. ive always wanted to put 56 1/4s on my 52 buick hat off to you that looks fookin rad.

  28. there are laminated back glass available for yours and many other 50's and 60's cars. they come in clear, green and grey tint. I just cut one down for a 51 merc.
just thought I'd add I only cut glass for cars in my shop. patterns just do not work for me.
