Southwestern PA get together?

Didn't walk around that much at Cecil..... Gina has a "bad wheel" and just couldn't hobble around very good. We found a shady spot & sat there most of the afternoon. It was very nice day.

I will not know for sure about Sunday until then..... Will post something early Sunday ....... We won't be there at 6am I can tell you!!!!

Nice weather ahead from now thru next week.... "might" go to Mineral Beach on Friday night.... haven't been there for quite awhile. Need to talk to someone about a "full tube chassis: for the Opel.... always dealing....ha!!!!

Highwater Hootenany was real nice! Good to see a lot of pre '64 cars parked together. The crab cakes were as good as, if not better than, any that that we have ever had. Fresh cut fries, free beer and live music... If we didn't live 60 miles away Judy and I would be regulars at this place!

 

Ha 2loud2old, we have to get ya to come to the Diner in Somerset. Every cruise features a free t-shirt, all-you-can-drink,(soft drinks) for a $1, etc. There are Muscle Cars, but we generally try to park together. Hope you can make one this year.

Wondering if any SWP HAMBers are planning to go to Drifters' "Steel City Shakedown" ..... OR ..... Gasser Nationals at Thompson Drag Strip..... they it is on the SAME DAY. (Saturday, September 8th)

Both are really GREAT EVENTS..... what's a hot rodder who loves both events to do???? Ha!!!

What about you guys?????

Also..... let's not forget about the PID Reunion - Nostalgia Drags & Car Show at Pittsburgh Raceway Park the following Saturday, September 15th. This is an event we would never miss!!!!!!

 

I know some of the former Redliners will be at the Steeltown Shakedown and probably the PID reunion the following week.

Been missing events you have been at all Summer so far.

 

I will be at the Shakedown on the 8th, but unfortunately have to work the day of the PID Reunion.

 

I'm planning on going to the Drifters Show and the PID Reunion Drags. Thinking about doing some vending at both events.

Theres a nice show on the 9th in McClellantown put on by Summit Early Iron.
Pig roast,beer truck,NO TROPHYS just give a donation to the fire dept.
Always a nice show---no trophy whores at this one

I feel like the we should have a HAMB gathering at this years Steeltown Shakedown... Perhaps a HAMB trophy of sorts? Just a thought.

I'm not looking.. I just though it would be nice to acknowledge someone with a hamb award.. just a little momento type thing.. a friendly gesture... not a "Oh, my car is way cooler then your car" thing


(this could also be the belly full of "award winning ribs" I had at the time of this idea)
