Just wanted to share what I did. I haven't really been able to work on my car for a while now living in an apartment. I managed to remove the dashpad and install my new tach in my single car garage and man was it hot. I hope I don't get a letter on my door tomorrow about it. What did you do?
Went to the dump, stained my new deck, went and got my friends tractor... Ohhh... you're talkin about car stuff. Installed the floor in the bed of my 50 F1, bought some mats from costco and lined the floor with them. Installed a new alternator (chrome) and a new fuel pump (not chrome). Then I went to a local car show on Sunday.
I managed to either break or crack a rib helping load some ****py *** ot car frame that is worth less than what the doctor bill will cost me.
finish dis***embling my Modified project and putting the body in the rafters and frame against the wall so I can get back to working on my 31 PU. Need to sell something and that is the chosen ride that must go next spring.
Finally got the engine out of my 51 Styleline and going to send it to my local speed shop for some crank drilling, new pistons and get the rods machined for insert bearings. I was waiting for it to cool off somewhat.
Sandblasted the frame for my '36 Ford 3w coupe. Only 2-months behind my propsed schedule! Dirty job which I'll NEVER do again! If it won't fit in my blast cabinet, I'll pay to have it done.
I repaired the drivers window regulator on my 46 cadi and got to drive it out of the garage under its own power for the first time in 30 years Here is a video of it http://www.youtube.com/audio?feature=wenh&v=PZokhpGkN0Q http://www.youtube.com/audio?feature=wenh&v=PZokhpGkN0Q
Nice! I love how even the smallest ammount of work on our cars make you feel oh so good after you do a great job. Hope everyone had an awesome weekend.
Small project. Made the automatic choke tube on my Canadian Merc 4 bolt manifold hook up to the automatic choke on my 2GC carb. I am particularly happy about this, because everything else on the carb works close to the original, but the manual choke on the first carb I tried worked backwards.
finished pouring 9 yds of concrete then proceeded to break the sewer line . then had to fix that as well. very tired Jen
I finished a brake job and an oil change on my old Chevy. And I got the shower drain working again...that's the important one. Gotta keep mama happy
Didn't finish anything but got the front end mounted on my a coupe project and started pulling my 28 a pickup apart for a rebuild
Re-fabricated clutch/brake pedals for the '33. Nearly ruined my dash and repaired it before anyone could see the abomination. Cleaned up the mess my mason left me in my driveway. Unplugged the sink in my kids' bathroom. Chain-sawed a bunch of old fence posts into firewood (a perfectly retarded thing to do on a hot and humid summer day, but par for the course for me). Labor Day though, right? What did I finish? A six of Corona.
took a day trip from Northern California to Kansas City and back to CA , see current thread: KC GoodGuys & Greaserama Sat 9/1 - PICS!!!!
Spent all day in the shop on my 32 5w. Worked on the cowl vent, milled some mounts for the seat and got that in, Got the steering column mocked in
I got all my grinders and 12" disc sander mounted on the 10" X 72" steel shelf I built onto the steel wall studs. Just enough room at the right end for my large 1 H.P. buffing machine. My wife measured and bored all the 3/8" mounting holes, then went in and cooked a small roast...Baked potato...and her excellent salad! Roast was rare, and perfect! Life is good...
Took my pile of carbs down and rebuilt them with a nice true 3x2 with end dumper conversion kit. Complete with cast aluminum end bases, and rebuilt center base with new ****erflies and shaft. Eastwood carb paint.
