It was a good beer but between the 5 of us on the trip we went through over 30 cases of it during that two weeks so I needed to drink something else the last couple days,I dont think I drank any beer for over a week after I got back home since we woke up and started drinking and then drank until we passed out. I was suprised we actually got any fishing in in between the drinking.

    Man am I jealous!!
I wonder how many people actually know who The Soft Machine and The Chambers Brothers are?
Did you know you can get Soft Machines 'Rubber Riff' on CD now?

Heard of, both. Chambers Brothers...saw and had "The Time Has Come" album (which had a pretty good version of Midnight Hour on it, among other things).

I also saw Hendrix...in May of '69...one of the last dozen or so performances before Redding left the band, thux ending the original "Jimi Hendrix Experience" lineup.

Here's the setlist for that night...

    Johnny B. Goode
    Fire
    Foxy Lady
    Spanish Castle Magic
    Red House
    Purple Haze
    Voodoo Child (Slight Return)

He was ending a lot of his concerts with Voodoo Child in that period.

The Motown Records headquarters. The "Snakepit" recording studio is in the basement, so called because of the large black cables that criss crossed the floor. The mixdown studios were upstairs. Just think of all the great hit records that are now part of our daily musical landscape that originated in this building!
