Wow!!!! Thanks for all the replys. So for those of you that have replied.... I see some of you are from at least a couple of hours away. Would you stay the night in the area? and would you pre register to confirm you have a spot to park in the show when you get there? We pride ourselves on the shows we have done in the past and we want this one to be the best that we can make it. We got some big shoes to fill... for those of you that have been to Mass out West it's huge and well orginized. Again I can't thank ya's enough.

Yes, I would pre-register. I would not need a hotel.

pre-reg is a good idea....advance notice of car count to inform us of availability or if you hit the maximum number would be good to. Any camping in the area for those who may want to camp the weekend? Is there any chance for a "spill-over' lot if more than your max show up or will it be just typical public parking otherwise? I'm hoping to actually get out and about in 2013, I'll put this on my calendar....it will be the one year aniversary of my dad passing so I'd be driving the panel truck I got from him.

Slightly OT question from an Aussie

Why do you guys use the term "adult beverages"? I figure it'd be a lot easier to just say beer.

Ok, you asked for suggestions and I'm throwing one out there.;)

How about a band that folks will actually dance to?
I've seen time and time again bands playing at car events and folks just staring at them. How about a band that plays music that you can dance to? Especially since this is going to be a night time gig. Ever hear of 50 Amp Fuse? They are an awesome local cover band and PACK the dance floor where ever they play.

Thanks for the suggestion. One observation from me is the only time I ever saw anyone dancing at a car show was in the early 80's and the grey hairs hooped it up to Elvis imposters, Steve King and the Dittlies, or Benny and the Jets. I will admit I'm getting a little older, keep the hair short to cut down on the grey actually! and love real 50's rock, old country, rockabilly, surf, and good old punk, but I don't know about a mega 80's type act. I would rather leave that for the other shows that go on all summer long. We will try our best to accomadate most everyones taste in music, but I think you can easily dance to a good little 3 piece outfit. We arent looking to hire Slayer, but not looking for Human Leauge either.

Sooooo that being said Denise what tune do you want played for your opening number and will there be costume changes?:D

My Aunt and Uncle love 50 amp fuse and go see em when they play downriver

That's a perfect area to have this. I can't wait!

I want to throw in "bars of gold" for a potential band.

I'm close to being done with my A pickup. It's done with mock up and blown apart for chassis painting. Metal work on cab is next. I should be done and pre-reg would give me a goal/light a fire under my ass. I'm in.

Ok some updates.... sorry can't make an official announcment... but here are somethings that will be set in stone:

This will be a pre-register only show - due to limited spaces at the venue we are looking at around 200 cars when we hit that number registration will be closed

Parking for show cars will be from 4-6 pm after that it "sorry city". This is so we don't tie up a major street.

We will know if you are a pre registered car due to something you will get after we get your entry. If ya don't have it ya dont get in

No outside alcohol - were are working with the venue to provide "refreshments" at a fair price to all attendees in a "beer garden" setting. This is due to legal issues with the establishments liquor lisence.

We will have to be on our best behaivior when it comes to leaving the facility. It's surrounded by homes. Would you wnat someone doing a burnout down your street at 1 a.m. while the wife and kids are sleeping.

We are doing our best to make sure this show is enjoyed by everyone. Sins almost runs it self now and is in the middle of nowhere ( no fear of pissed of citizens ) so we need to take a look at some things differently, but rest assured you will be in for a good time. This will be a great event in the heart of "where it went down" in the 50's thru 60's in the Detroit area. The venue was started in 1945 by a returning G.I. and is now in the 3rd generation of ownership, has a cool mid-century vibe, think going out cruising with your freinds on a Saturday night, pulling into a spot, looking at some cars, grabbing a beer or two with your buds, seeing some great bands, all on a beautiful summer night.

Please if you do the Facebook thing go on their and "like" our page.

Thanks for all the support over the years. We hope you all come out to support this new event
