Are there any car shows going on September 24-30 in Honolulu? I will be on my honeymoon out there and would be interested in stopping by to look at something different from what I normally see.
maybe not a show but there are some good cruise nites. Try to contact Lucky444 he is up on that stuuff.
Can't help with Honolulu but the wife and I got married on Maui and spent our honeymoon there, the first night after we got married we were at a car show on Maui. You know you got the right woman when you can do that on your honeymoon!
Agreed, she even asked if I posted on the HAMB to see if there were any car shows or cruise-ins any of the nights we are there. Real cool girl Thanks for posting so far guys, I appreciate it, I'll contact lucky to see what is going on. Anyone have anything else going on out there car wise on Honolulu?
It will be the best 30 seconds of her life, but what I am supposed to do with the other 86,370 seconds in the day? (and yes I did the math)
plan on going over to the 808 Speed Shop in Kailua on Oahu. and search: festivals-and-shows.com/hawaii=car=shows.html and blactoprebels.com/carshows/hawaii and hawaiicarshows.com
Years ago, there was a place in Honolulu that rented Harleys and hot rods, but I don't think it is still open. Gary But this might help: http://www.hawaiiindependentcruisenights.com/home.htm
Your best source for what's going on in the islands is this web site. http://honolulustreetsmagazine.com/ CRUISER
check out 808 Speed Shop and just cruise around Kam hwy, and enjoy the scenery, get away from Honolulu way too much traffic and crowded
Yeah we have a week free of hotels at the Disney resort on Honolulu, so we are kind of stuck there. I really want to see Pearl though so that is why we picked this instead of any of the other islands. Free food, free room, free booze, and car shows... can't get any better than that, short of me being able to drive an old car around.
Hi Mr. Skyrodder Here's a link to the Cruise Night Schedule. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...3650642545.279055.174665157544&type=3&theater The only one listed at this time is Manana McDonalds. Not one of my cruises... I think it's a pretty small one....could be wrong? ...Well, most / all cruise nights are small compaired to the mainland. Congratulations! Tommy
If your staying in Aulani for free your one lucky dood, great place to stay and on the opposite side of the City. head up to Northshore there are a few old cars up there on weekends. you might even see this one
I seen that car last year when i was in Oahu.If you want to see Pearl harbor, take one of the tours that takes you there and also three bases that were involved(VIP tour i believe).Google it.
Ask these guys... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=368 Jason and Marty are our local Oahu Hot Rod guru's. Definitely try to go by Marty's shop, very cool. Here's a few pics from our 2010 Oahu Hamb Shindig. We Honeymooned there in '02 and have been back many times since. By far our favorite place on earth.
O man I dig those pics Kevin. We all need to do that again and soon. If you guys are around Kailua side definately stop in.enjoy your stay, aulani is super relaxing!
cool guys thanks for all of the help. Looking forward to it. Do they have any other museums worth looking at?
Make sure to catch trade days at Hawaii stadium. Great place to buy bargains on souvenirs and alot of cool stuff to see. Here's some of the best advise you will hear.... Rent a car and drive all over the island. See it all. If you stay locked down in Honolulu, you will hate it.
There are a few museums worth seeing. The "Hawai'i Plantation Village" is a good one for Hawaiian history. When you get hungry, make sure to eat at Ono's for the best "grinds" on the island!
