"Ive got Kormandy's 3w and I need to make a shakedown run...you gonna be home?"

Seems Jason is getting the previously stolen 3w ready for Hot Rod of the Year at Indy again...you remember it was stolen at last years gig.

That is nice, I had to look at the enlarged shot of the engine for a moment to figure out what I was seeing then "oh wow".

Anything to get him out of his jammies by 10AM (good Lord, I've run the morning announcements and taught 3 cl***es by then )

 

Been sitting for a few weeks and needed to stretch its legs on the highway up to Rollers' house is a good run from the shop besides this thing needs a mix of 91 and 110 sunoco and that stuff is $10 a gallon so this thing aint no daily driver but it sure is fun and runs down the road great.

 

It sure is nice. What is the paint color?

 

I would have to believe that it needed some work after it was recovered from being stolen. I don't remember seeing or reading what shape it was in after it was recovered. From what Larry wrote in his first post I take it that Jason was taking care of those things on it.

If I remember correctly, wasn't it abandoned somewhere and the trailer taken? Thieves may have tore it up unloading it.

 

The guy that stole it is in jail now...he stole the truck and trailer, not knowing the coupe was inside. When they saw that it was all over the News, they dropped the car off in a shady part of town. My guess is that with more news coverage, they probably thought the truck and trailer were too hot and brought them back to the Hotel where they stole them from...bizzare...but the coupe sustained hardly any damage.

 

Cannot wait to go for a ride.
