Who has a Gasser style car ? Stand up and be counted !

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by AHotRod, Feb 9, 2004.

  1. Here we go again.....

I'm referring to the term "Gasser".

Seems everybody has their own version (more like rough idea) of what a Gasser really is!

With that said, most race cars that run on "Gas" are a Gasser regardless of what suspension is under it.

Yea I know, I just stirred the pot!

When did you get that you lucky devil? That car was pitted next to us at the Columbus Hot Rod Reunion. Sure is a cool piece. We gonna see you back on the track with that cool little car?

Yes John, I plan to start running the car again real soon. I am going over everything since its been together for 40 years now. New tires, safety equipment, roll bar changes etc. Did you guys by chance take any pictures of it?
    Dave.

Looks like an easy sell, if the price isn't too high! Nice sedan delivery!

  11. Lovin' that Johnny.....Please post some more pics of it. I had a '63 S22 Convert many years ago, and think the fact that your car choice is different makes it all that much cooler......Nice Job! What are your plans for it? Centurion9

Thanks for the words, I've always seen myself as a Nova guy but as far as racing an inexpensive, lightweight, compact American car, the Comet has style to spare. Have a 350ci/TH-350 going under the hood and an econoline axle. I'm anxious to finish and drive it, but am enjoying making as many parts as I can and trying new things with the project.

Bitchin' little Consul you have there, Vince. My freind Howard (ex-pat from up Manchester) here in Phoenix is finishing up a '58 Consul with a Ford 289 and an AOD trans. Not quite as radical as your machine.

Is that Roarin' Rat parked next to you by chance?

    Later, Mike

Since my last post, Rick Knight in Okla City worked his magic on striping & lettering.
