I also like the fact that you kept the stock headlights, grille etc. That front has such a great deco feel it would have been a shame gettin rid of it.
A couple of pics from today. I finally got a chance to paint and fit my skirts. Damn, it's been hot!! Still have to get with my chrome guy for a few pieces and finish my side window garnish pieces.
Great pics Rich, can't wait to see this car in person. Good luck with the finishing touches my friend.
After I spent a day removing the vulcanized rubber... I bought some stock running board rubber on fleabay and cut it to size. I used some rubber and vinyl glue to hold it and cut a bunch of 1.5" strips of 1/4" wood to use as braces. Broke out my clamps and held it overnight. They came out great!
Rich, I'd love to see some pictures of how the running boards came out. I could use some ideas. Keep up the great work!
Private party, I know you've seen them. 2.99 a foot. He shipped fast and gave me way more than enough. Good quality stuff.
how did i miss you painting your ride??? WOW what an awesome color! i absolutely love this car.. great work my friend
Thanks man. Dropped the last of the little stuff off at the chromers yesterday. Side gl*** and wing windows are cut and waiting...Should have myself with interior some time soon thereafter...... You guys gonna be at mooneyes?
Right on homie.. pretty exciting.. i still have to work on my wing windows, and my gl***.. dropping my seats off to get re done next week.. so were pretty much at the same stage! Im planning on Mooneyes.. but not sure yet.. 2 of us from our club got invited to be inside the suede palace at the next Grand National Roadster Show.. so debating whether or not to wait til then to bring her out... still have alot of loose ends to wrap up before then... but Mooneyes is one of my favorite shows of the year.. so not sure yet..you going?
Looks great! Do you have any pictures of it at ride height? Always curious to see how it would look going down the road. As for caps, I highly suggest early 50s plymouth full wheel covers. They look a lot like a Lyons or cadillac sombrero but theyre cheap and easy to find, not to mention, you have a plymouth!
I'll ost a pic of it at ride height for ya. As for the hubcaps, I have been trying to track down a set of the 51-52 Plymouth caps for a little while now!! seen a few here and there, but the hunt continues. Definitely a plus keeping her all Mopar. Thanks for the pic!!
yeah, Im going to Mooneyes for sure!! The weather depends on if Ill be taking the daily or the Plymouth. GNRS is a must- took my maiden voyage in the 40 there so now its a tradition.
Does anyone know if a 1968 Dodge Dart rear end will fit like the 68 Coronet rear end? or anyone familiar with the dimensions of a 1968 Dodge Dart rear end?
i am pretty sure i have at least two 51-52 plymouth caps i'll go look in a few minutes. if i do you can have them for shipping.
Call Mark at Swee****er auto wrecking. All he does is Mopar and he knows all. 619-475-1005 any Sunday Im in. Saturdays I work from morning till night. Going to J Street Pier tomorrow for my friends lowrider show though. Call me if you want to cruise!! Dude, that would be GREAT!!! Thanks man.
I just looked at a 41coupe this morning in NH for sale......Wish I could take it home.....*****es are broke these days.
