maybe not so much better but more desirable. for the price of a duece body,if you can find one, the old model A will do for most of us. if by chance we find one in a barn i wouldnt mind having one though.

Also, if you own one you get to learn the secret handshake, known only to the Deuce crowd. An elite society, not unlike the dreaded stories of the Illuminati. Frankly, that very vibe has kept me from owning one for very long. The last one I had I flipped it for a massive profit. Ya see, they're that important to those "Deuce Folks". They'll pay HUGE money to keep mebership down and exclusive. I'll probably become the name on the next 'contract' for outting this info, but I don't care. New folks need to know the dangers involved.

However, if you think Deucers are bad, you aint seen shit until you get with the Packard People. Holy shit, they put Corvette guys to shame, but not unlike the old organizations of early Chicago and NY, once you're in you're in for life. Stay thirsty my friend...

  3. Nothing necessarily :makes it better" per se....BOTH are kool.

Highlander...I don't believe Deuce owners are THAT elitist, at least, not the ones I know.

But I think Samy got it in one.

******** V8 ******** and rarity, one yr only fuels desirability like anything rare.

  4. You need to read a little more, they also stole a 1932 B-400 earlier but not the car they died in.

As for thin sheet metal,,no sheet metal could have stopped the 150 rounds that were fired on the sedan they were driving. HRP

other than car guys that like hot rods most people ( including muscle car guys ) wouldnt know the difference. paint a model A coupe yellow and listen to all the people talk about the car from american graffiti. ive had guy look at my big block chevy and ask me what size hemi it is. or is that a 32 or 33(its a 29). i usually try not to ask question unless i know allitle about something. its better to listen up you can figure out just how little people really know.

The one time I drove my coupe to the gas station when I briefly lived in Dallas, a guy got really excited and came outside "Is that a 32!?"

    "Nope", I said, "It's a 29."

His excitement dropped like a stone.

"Oh..cool man" and he walked back inside. It was so weird! I sorta forgot that day until I saw this thread.

  10. Sooo... What's the difference between a 32 and 33-34's?

  11. Come on dude ! Don't hi jack this , start your own epic thread

  12. Well, this tread is about 32's... Figured I would ask here rather than starting a whole other thread.

That is cool, but they never made 3 window model A's for sale to the public. That bottom one actually looks like a 32 body look close at the windshield angle. Seems layed back.

    Think ZZ-Top Eliminator "Album" cover.
'33-'34's also have gorgeous lines and are full 'streamline era' car styling.

  15. There is as much difference in a 32 and 33/34 as there is in a 32 and a 30/31. HRP

This is actually a very good question and was addressed at the GNRS "75th anniversary of the Deuce" panel discussion (Thacker, Brizio, Erickson, etc). Generally, the introduction of the V8, much better frame and curvier body lines including the iconic grill were the major improvements. The panel all believed that Ford was really trying to get to the 33 design from the Model A and the 32 was an interim. The rest is history...

Ford made the 50B body style they called it the sports coupe it was kind of a cross between coupe and a roadster that was 3 window.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the original question, i guess i'd have to agree with what was said about the changes Ford made from the 31. Aside from that, i have nothing to add. I just like 32's more, but still dig a nicely built A.

I've also seen a bunch of dumb looking 32's and completely righteous Model A's. They both rule depending on who built them.

  27. You got that right!,,but I have been attracted to the Deuce since I was 12 years old,,,that's 50 years now,,I've had a few Model A's and won't say I will never own another but after having owned a half dozen 32's I can honestly say I have the dreaded Deuce Disease and don't want to be cured! :D HRP
