This Pontiac has been sitting along this creek for as long as I remember.
    Note the Eight bolt wheels.

  2. Lots of good parts there......those doors on the unibody truck are nice and fairly valuable, fit uni's only.

Found this 57 fairline 500 in an overgrown farm field behind my dads house. It is probably 200 feet from the house. Amazing what you can find by your house. This is now national park property. Sitting here easily 40 years.

I don't know about the laws in your state but I had a Sheriff tell me that it would be considered abandoned property and that I could legally remove it. I'd drag that out and see what I could do with it.

I agree, I'd try to get that. '57 Ford convertible has to be worth saving, if only for parts.

The 57 fairlane will literally pull apart in pieces in our hands. There is nothing there short of a few pieces of stainless that's usable. It was a black car with black and white interior, 292 automatic. Shame.

I'd be all over the windshield frame and the exaust manifolds at least on the 57.
There was a 66 Bonneville in the local U-pullit and the kid and I yanked the front and rear brightwork. He put it on the C/L and bay and made a tidy sum.

That 59 Poncho rear would make a helluva couch!! Also, the steering wheel would be killer as an "upgrade" for something else.

Shame that the car had to end up there.
If it was a "sedan" as in a "post" sedan, it wasn´t an Impala, however.
A Bel Air, Delray or a Biscayne perhaps. However, being that the ´58 Chevy is a one year -only design, there might still be a lot of unique parts to be had, that could be of use in all ´58 Chevies across the model -range, including Impala´s.
What about the condition of the whole front clip? Bumpers? Grille? Dash? Steering column? Pedal assy´s? If it´s a "Bel Air" w/the one-piece, finned front fender spears, those will be a direct fit in an Impala, as well. The rear axle/suspension with it´s three control arms is also unique for this year only. As are the fan shrouds in the V8 -cars, interestingly enough.
They sure aren´t making any more of these cars, and provided the car/parts weren´t rusted or mangled to death, I´m sure someone out there could use them.

Wow! How I would love to have that Nomad! Looks like it is in great shape - other than some nimrod pumping a bunch of rounds through the side windows. I imagine it would be just about impossible to find new glass.

What you witnesses was a genuine brainfarttypo... I meant to type Bel-Air and put Impala... no idea why.

But it was a 4 door sedan, and this was not an auto wrecker, so the car was only sitting where I saw it for about 4 minutes before it was gone, I was surprised I was able and allowed to grab the window. I hate the waste of people taking cars like that to yards like that.
