We were commissioned by the late owners widow to get this car running again. It was parked in 1955 and sat there until we got it about a month ago.

This car is full of history. We have a stack of timing tags from El Mirage and Bonneville as well as trophies from El Mirage and Pomona Drags.

We got the car running this morning.

The plan is to make a trip to Bonneville with it next year. That will mark 60 years since it's last run at Bonneville.

Sounds really sweet! Did you guys tear it down or just splash a little gas in it?

Just did the basics. We went through the carbs and tank, changed the fluids, and we had to get all the corrosion off the points, but thats about it.

We're doing our best to keep all the patina.

Amazingly cool old car. Don't change a thing! Gary

On second thought, get new tires.

  11. Looks like it was stored real good. How do you fit under the steering wheel ? Looks like less than 3 inches there.

Not easily. The crazy thing is, the original owner was 6' 3".

Awesome! Just needs some period correct gauges. I'm usually not one to agree that every turd pulled out of a barn should remain untouched, but in this case it would be a sacrilege to do anything to this car. Thanks for sharing!

Will it be at the GNRS in January? I'd love to see it in person.

That is one *****in old Hot Rod. I'd feel honored to be get to work on it.

I would love to know more about the quick change, as it looks identical to some casting I picked up at the LA Roadsters swap last year...
