Event Coverage ***Outriders Picnic 2012***

I had pretty much accepted that fect that I wasn't gonna find any tickets,so my wife and I went to breakfast. We walked through the door and got a text "Your tickets are at will call". WTF! Everybody told me there WEREN'T any left. I returned the text,not sure who sent it,and was confirmed I had tickets waiting for me. YEEHAW! I love this show!
So,we hopped back into the Merc,with plenty of water,and cruised over. Weather was warm,not hot yet,but comfortable. It was a great show,as expected. Wife had a good time too.

I'm pretty sure Steve VanDemon did the flames on this Merc. Same guy who did mine. Cool car,except for those stupid Hagen headlight deals!!!

 

Liked this Coupe. The faux patina was done very poorly. Not convincing at all. Too bad,cause it had a great look and stance...

tickets sold out.. it was a car show, was it for a after party concert or is this show limited to a specific number of casr

 

I don't know the specific details,but it's an exclusive show. You have to be invited or know one of the Outriders,I think. You can't just drive up and pay to get in,with some Rat Rod. Best controlled show there is.

Always the nicest selection of cars at this show and tickets are limited because they put on one helluva tri tip BBQ included in the ticket price. I agree with BB on the 'it's not going to fool any self respecting hot rodder' faux patina - and the fake racing numbers are beyond a cliché - it's gotten old....

I don't know anything about this car. It caught my eye so I had to check it out. Don't know if it's just a "hodge-podge" of old parts,or if it has some history. maybe one of you guys know something...

 

Always a great gathering......but yes you gotta know someone.........
