Looks like it. In the distance is the First Methodist Church on Franklin Ave. just off of Highland ... see attached photo.

    Attached Files:

  12. There seem to be more of those hearse bodied cars behind the front car in the picture. Might be a commercial car swap and show by the pile of parts in the picture.

Anyone know anything about the floating ladies? I have one that I acquired when my grandpa passed, her hat comes off and she's hollow

Donna Mae was a real character. Unfortunately she passed away about 2 years ago.

Didn't they dig one up on American Pickers once and it turned out to be a hot water bottle?

My brother and I did this for maybe a week, one summer about 1942-43 in a bowling alley on Route 2 near where Arlington, Belmont and Cambridge Mass meet. Then the automated pin setters were initiated there, developed by a friend's dad.

  22. I owned a 51 Ford Ambulance, real low mileage with a 6 in it. Smooth ride too. Sold it to a buddy that went swap meeting weekly.

I want that Rock Island locomotive. Those "F" units were quite a bit better looking than today's locomotives.

Agreed. The F units were great looking as were my favorites the E units. We traveled on The City of Los Angeles from Chicago to L.A. in 1950. I was 6 but
I remember the trip and the beautiful train clearly.

There were photos of them several hundred pages back. Very cool body. As I remember not many survive. Maybe someone can jump in with more details.
