    I did a job a few years ago for a local guy. He bought his parts himself, but I know he bought them right from Jamco. They came with detailed instructions and were of pretty good quality. The ball joint conv. is pretty cool, right? the discs and power booster were worlds better than the originals. MIKE.

    I'm lookin at the jamco kit myself and thinkin the same thing,its a little pricey. Think there was something posted here before about what componets to use. Think it was Granada lower a arm ,spindle,rotor+ caliper. then a screw in ball joint and adapter from a nascar type. I'm going on a junkyard excursion soon and take a look and also stop at the local roundy round speed shop to see what I can put together. I'll post what I find , hope someone else can add to this ?

    Good luck getting parts from Jamco. You have to order directly from them. I ordered a kit from and have waited for months to get my complete order. If you have any other options I would stay away from Jamco. They don't answer their phone or return messages.

    The official Jamco Review- I've been waiting 2 years know for my 51 merc Ball joint conversion and have only received springs. I can never get a hold of them and when I do I get a different answer every time,- "we are testing a new version" "a couple of weeks" trouble with manufactures welds" " they are in powder coating" and the latest- "I have seen them you will have them soon"- Ok finally right!!!! so I ordered a radiator for another build- its been 4 weeks now!-----------does anybody else have this trouble? I'm seconds away from contacting the better business bureau and then my lawyer.-- and Yet they advertise these kits all day long ON SALE on their website. Does fatman make the a-arms and are truly behind? Is there some type of ponzy scheme going on???????? WTF

    Wow. You waited 2.5 years for something and then ordered something else?:confused: One thing I learned and love about the HAMB, is that there's a HUGE knowledge base here. Unless it's a big business (like Speedway), I'd always check here to get the up and up BEFORE ordering aything.

    I hope your stuff comes.

    After waiting and dealing with Jamco for a couple months now, I have decided to use Dave Gulley's kit at Drop 'em and Stop 'em. For $1075 I get a COMPLETE Disc Brake Conversion kit plus Dropped Spindles, 8" Dual Power Booster/Master Cylinder combo, proportion valve, steel lines, and T's.

    Well given the fact you have waited 2.5 years for parts that still havent arrived yet still ordered more I would think you shouldn't be surprised that after 4 weeks you havent got it yet.:rolleyes: You still have 2 years and 5 months to go.

    Amazing. In an economy that is shakey at best, here's a company that seems to be running the business away. Amazing.

    Not much to tell yet! Spoke with Dave Gulley on phone yesterday, he called me after I sent an email inquiry for some help with my Merc.
    He was very informative and helpful. He prices are reasonable, and from the research here he seems to be a stand up guy. I plan on ordering the parts soon, then I will post more on speed of shipping, quality of products and installation. Fingers crossed. Here is the link I am using: http://www.dropnstop.com/page2.html

    No ill feelings towards Jamco, they just need to get re-organized and communicate - or close/sell the business.

    :eek::eek::eek::eek:JAMCO>>>JAMCO>>>JAMCO>>> :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    Shame!

    Jamco could have been one of the best suppliers for Shoe-box Fords and Bath-Tub Merc' parts if only they had elected to have a real customer service team.

    I too ordered the tubular A-Arm ball joint conversion kit, plus some other parts back in May of 2012. After three plus months and numerous e-mails and phone calls I received everything but shocks and an idler arm. I never received any instructions or even a thank you from Jamco.

    As for the HAMB... be sure and search on "Jamco" and read all of the do***entation that was posted. There were so many complaints that Jamco was removed from the Vendors listing.

    As for myself...ordering additional parts from Jamco... I would to say that I would be very reluctant to go down that past again.

    :D
